I am a native San Franciscan and have lived in this house for over 20 years. Both my husband and I are in the wine business and live part time in Sonoma. We have two adult children, entertain often and he plays golf...I read and cook whenever I can!

We lived in both units for many years when my children were in school. The house was turned back into two units and after college, both children lived above us until they 'got on their feet.' We want to use it for income property, but have it available if they decide to move back to San Francisco.

Typical 'Marina' flat...10 feet ceilings and lots of beautiful moldings, split bathroom allows the privacy of the shower/bathtub and sink being used while the water closet (toilet only) next to it. We are in two of the best neighborhoods in San Francisco and a block away from the gorgeous SF Presidio...PLUS walking distance to the bay where you can watch kite surfing, sailing and large cruise ships enter under the majestic Golden Gate. You may have seen the spectacular scene in last year'sAmericas Cup. (USA won!)

No need to have a car..bus transportation is around the corner. There is an express bus to financial district and the Embarcadero. It would be best to rent car only for the days you want to go out of the city.

We were visiting family in the bay area and stayed at this apartment. Everything was fine, the owners even allowed us to use their garage when they were not using it. The apartment is easily large enough for three adults and two children (8 and 6). The only quirk for this apartment is that the bathroom is in two separate rooms, the toilet in one and the sink and tub in another. There were plenty of towels, linens, supplies, space, etc. I would rent this apartment again.
Recommended for:  Tourists without a Car, Sightseeing, Romantic Getaway

Our flat is located in the heart of the popular Marina /Cow Hollow District. We are six short blocks from the Americas Cup course at Chrissy Field. You'll be just blocks from Chestnut and Union Streets, a local Mecca for great shopping, a variety of food, super coffee shops, lively bars and entertainment. The Marina has recently become well known for its restaurants and cocktail scene, but the physical beauty of the Marina makes this city iconic. Here you will be staying blocks from the beach, the Marina Green, Chrissy Field, the Golden Gate Bridge and the Palace of Fine Arts. The Presidio is ONLY one block away where you can have quiet beautiful walks through the George Lucas Campus, hike the Ecology Trail through the California Redwoods, or a trail that follows the West Coast, or get a Starbucks and watch the ducks swim in a lovely nearby lake. And if you must leave the city, you are less than one hour to the Sonoma wine country.
