BEACH CASTLE is a 21-unit beach-to-bay resort that allows 1-day minimum rental, except March 15 - April 26 when 1 week minimum is required. Check out this unit's guest book comments under owner/manager info (scroll to the end). Buildings are the color of sunshine, accented by white railings that resemble palm trees. 2nd floor 1 bedroom (with 1 queen + 1 single bed), + sofa sleeper in LR. Cheerful, beachy feel, nice LR/DR with flat screen TV. Peaceful, private screened porch overlooks Sarasota Bay. (One guest commented that it was like being in a treehouse.) Take your coffee out to watch the sun rise over Sarasota bay. The unit even has a cappuccino maker. On this side of the complex is the bay, the fishing pier/boat dock, grill/picnic table, pool/hot tub, shared laundry. Just across the street is Beach Castle's private access to the Gulf of Mexico beach, where lounge chairs are available for your convenience. Enjoy a glass of wine while watching the sunset over the Gulf. Beach Castle is conveniently located on the island, just a short walk to the popular Harry's Restaurant, & even closer to The Centre Shops complex, with 3 restaurants (Lazy Lobster, Blue Dolphin, Ciao's Italian), gift shops, salon, etc. Many other restaurants on the island. Heading south on the island, it is just a short drive to Mote Marine Aquarium. Or enjoy nearby St. Armand's Circle, a mecca of boutiques, galleries, jewelry stores, and an assortment of restaurants with outdoor and indoor seating. Or you can head North to Ana Maria Island to catch a different atmosphere, lots of fun shops & restaurants (don't miss Sand Bar!)

My husband and I came to Longboat Key in 1999 and knew we had to live here! Now retired, we are living the good life year 'round on this beautiful island, and don't miss the gray skies of Chicago. We both enjoy tennis several days a week and have met many friends through the public Tennis Center and the Longboat Key Club's beautiful new Tennis Gardens.
Linda Adrian purchased this condo in 2013
We also own a unit at the Banyan Bay Club (VRBO 419911) next door to Beach Castle, and have chatted with happy guests from Beach Castle. I am an MLS junky, so spend a lot of time researching properties to buy, but this is the only one that appealed to me in the last few years. The wonderful screened porch overlooking Sarasota Bay sealed the deal!

Linda, was in town for a wedding and found accommodations at #24 Beach Castle to be wonderful. Very clean, quiet with beautiful views. Thanks for sharing.
When we arrived we found the unit very clean and orderly we had a view on the bay side which was fine when we made the reservations it was not clear to us on what exactly is pool side we made arrangements thru Hotel .com pool side only means that you are only across the street from the gulf side not pool view per say this was not clear to us or explained by Hotel .com, we did have issues all week with the internet service in the unit and reported the problem the problem was not resolved and made it difficult for us to work , the electrical outlet by the dining table does not work but was able to cross over to connect in the kitchen to do my work we do recommend the unit and would consider returning depending on the rate
Beach Castle Resort is located on the beautiful island of Longboat Key. Drive just across the bridge to enjoy Mote Marine Laboratory (manatees, sharks, giant turtles, etc.) and Pelican Man bird sanctuary. A little bit further brings you to the charming shopping/dining mecca of St. Armand's Circle. From there, you can go across the fixed span bridge to all that Sarasota has to offer...excellent cultural/entertainment activities, shopping, restaurants, marina, boating, Selby botanical garden, etc.
