Excellent Location, Wonderful Cottage

  • 5 of 5
Le Petit Maison is as advertised, a charming cottage in the heart of the Luberon Valley. We recently spent three weeks there and enjoyed our stay. The cottage contains everything you would need and is quite spacious. It is totally private and very quiet.
We spent considerable time in the courtyard, usually with a glass of fine local wine in hand.
The small town of Robion in close with a good grocery store with an adjacent excellent fruit and vegetable store.
During our stay we visited several 'perched villages' (Gordes, Roussillon, Menerbes, etc), very pretty towns (Isle sur la Sorgue, Cabrieres, Saumane, etc) and the larger centres of Avignon (famous 'pont') and Arles (Roman amphitheatre). Clearly, much to see and do.
Also we were about 1 1/2 hours from the Mediterranean and made two day trips to spend some beach time.
Of course, being France and Provence, there were innumerable good restaurants.
Our hosts, Rob and Jenny, were most helpful with information of the area, in addition to being a charming and graceful couple. They helped make our three weeks enjoyable.
We would recommend La Petit Maison to anyone wishing to visit Provence without hesitation.

Tasteful, Private Cottage

  • 5 of 5
We found La Petite Maison to be a wonderful place to stay. Rob and Jennifer were helpful and accessible hosts, but not the slightest bit intrusive. The house itself, which is just the right size for two, has been magnificently restored and tastefully decorated. It is perfectly located for exploring Luberon villages and venturing farther afield to Avignon, Arles, Nimes, Aix, and the noble Pont du Gard. We highly recommend this cottage.

Beautiful cottage

  • 5 of 5
The cottage was a peaceful haven to us in the middle of a hectic tour, allowing us to totally relax and recharge. Charmingly decorated and with everything we needed, including off street parking and a small garden in which to sit, we couldn't believe our luck in finding it. Lounge/ dining, bedroom, kitchen and bathroom are all very well appointed. Whilst a car is necessary it is very well located and the owner was very helpful and great to deal with. We look forward to staying here again

Lovely property, excellent location

  • 5 of 5
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at La Petite Maison. The cottage is absolutely delightful, very well equipped and extremely comfortable. It has been decorated and furnished to a very high standard, and so thoughtfully - we thought it was lovely. It is situated in a beautiful part of Provence. There are so many places to visit within easy reach - you need a car, but don't have to spend long in it!
The cottage suited us perfectly: we like our creature comforts these days and it provided them. We like exploring interesting old villages and lovely countryside and found both in abundance. We enjoy visiting historical towns and found those in easy reach too. It really doesn't get much better than this!

Perfect Retreat!

  • 5 of 5
In October we spent magic week in Robion. We stayed in the XVIII century stone cottage managed by British owners Jennifer and Robert who live in adjacent farmhouse.
The house is beautifully restored. It has retained architectural integrity - exposed wooden been, stone walls, and living room with high ceiling. The standard of the finish is exceptional. The house is tastefully furnished and spotless with irresistible scent of lavender. There is a large, open-plan living room with modern, fully equipped kitchen with new appliances, very comfortable bedroom and bathroom. The other key feature of this property is the lovely, sunny terrace. While description of the property on Homeaway site is accurate, the picture does not precisely portray its attractiveness and beauty. This is an exceptional place.
The property is centrally located just miles away from Avignon, Arles, St Remy. The place is quiet, secluded and heavenly to return to each afternoon. It is set in beautiful, open countryside, surrounded by vineyards and meadows in a location that is ideal for visiting the local hilltop villages/ towns like Goult, Gourdes, Lacoste, Roussillon or Bonnieux.
The hosts were wonderful. They were attentive to our needs and discreet. They went well out of the way to ensure our stay was the best. They welcomed us with wine and cheese, which was well appreciated after long hours of driving. They told us about villages in the area worth to explore, vineyards with fine wine, and local marketplaces. They arranged Information about the region in the binder for use of the guests. We are very thankful to our hosts. We recommend their wonderful gem to everybody. We certainly will be back there.
