This studio condo is like a hotel room with more character - great for a couple looking for a beach trip to Rosemary! My fiancé and I stayed for a wedding weekend. Perks: Parking is free and right behind the complex. There are shops, restaurants, bike rentals and even a fro-yo spot downstairs, and you can walk to Bennet Square in under 5 minutes. We appreciated the two mountain bikes the owner includes for your use - we cruised around one afternoon. The beach (a 5 min walk or golf cart shuttle away) was just stunning in early September - clear blue and sugar white sand with very minimal waves.
The one piece of feedback that we had regarding the condo itself was that when the pull out is open (which is always), there is almost no space in the room - seems like one or both of the big white chairs could be removed because, really, most people are just there to sleep, and all that furniture made it feel crowded. We slept comfortably on the pull out, but we're pretty young so no back issues or anything to compete with. We had a little bit of trouble getting hold of the owner at times, but everything worked out eventually and our reimbursement went through 2 weeks later. Worked great for us!
This was a perfect escape from Atlanta. A wonderful weekend get away! The location can't be better.... we parked our car on Thursday and left it until our departure! (Parking is free!) We walked everywhere - the beach (even though they do offer a free golf cart service) restaurants, coffee shops and a farmer's market (on Sunday mornings). The condo is a studio...I'm not sure why other reviews are saying they were surprised by the small size- it's a studio! And ample space for two people- why are you in the room anyway??? GO TO THE BEACH! There is also live music in the front square of the building in the evening- which was FREE! If you are looking to have a nice beach weekend with your significant other BOOK HERE! Easy, clean, well decorated, and a GREAT location! Did I mention the beach was less than a 5 minute walk? Amazing!!!!
Enjoy your holiday!
My husband and I were seeking a place just to get away from all the hustle and bustle of everyday life. This condo was the perfect spot for us to kick back a few days and forget all our routine schedules, responsibilities, etc. With all the space that two people need, this condo served our stay perfectly. We can't wait to go back and experience the quaint village and beautiful scenery that Seacrest and Rosemary Beach have to offer. There are many amenities just steps away from the condo including bike rentals, restaurants, coffee/ice cream/dessert shops, etc. Who could ask for more? We will definitely be enjoying this condo again!
Rosemary Beach is wonderful, but this excuse of a condo was more like a dorm room. The bed slept like a sponge, there was no walking room in the studio, not even for 2 people, and about as remote from being a romantic couples' getaway as can be. The mini fridge was so small, we had to buy ice daily and keep in our cooler, just so we would have a cold beverage. We did everything we could to avoid staying in the room except for sleeping and showering. Way overpriced!!!
Really a nice spot and room for a couples getaway!
This rental is located at The Villages of South Walton. This is a very nice complex and has restaurants, shops, and bike rentals all right there in the complex. It is easily within walking distance to the town of Rosemary Beach and all the shops and restaurants located there. It is also easy walking distance to Seacrest Beach - which is the beach you will be sunning on. There is a very nice greenspace in front of the complex where you can relax and read at tables set out there. We particularly enjoyed Bentley's which is a restaurant right there in the complex. We ate breakfast twice and dinner three times while there. Every meal was excellent.
The Village of South Walton Beach is nestled in between Rosemary Beach and Alys Beach along the scenic 30-A corridor of the beaches of South Walton. Step back in time as you enter the cobblestone streets and lamp lit passageways. And, with its old world charm, southern hospitality and the natural beauty of the area, this is sure to be the place where new memories are made.
