STROLL TO DOWNTOWN, SHOPS, CAFES & HIKING

Boulder House Rental Photos and Description

House, 3 Bedrooms, 1 Bath (Sleeps 6-12)

This bright, welcoming house sits atop a magical, secluded knoll in downtown's Old North Boulder neighborhood. The flow of the space is comfortable and inviting and takes advantage of the home's expansive views. The decor is designed to be warm, chic, and inviting and we've taken care to make it family friendly with a high chair, kids dishes and utensils, and a crib.

All 3 bedrooms are appointed with brand new pillow-top mattresses with natural bamboo ticking. There is 1 King bedroom, 1 Queen bedroom, and the third bedroom has 2 Twin beds.

The kitchen is fully outfitted for cooking meals with pots & pans, small kitchen appliances (blender, waffle maker, coffee maker, toaster, etc), kettle, mixing bowls, cooking utensils, baking dishes, serving dishes, measuring cups and spoons, etc. Dishes, flatware, glasses, mugs, tea pot, salt & pepper mills, creamer & sugar bowl, and placemats are also furnished.

The living/dining room is super comfortable, perfect for hanging out and overlooks the foothills, as does the kitchen. It has a new Samsung LED HDTV with Premium HD Cable including HBO and Apple TV. Of course, there is also secure high-speed internet.

The property is ideally located between the exceptional restaurants & boutiques on Pearl Street and the Ideal Market Shopping Center where there's a neighborhood Whole Foods, Pharmacy w/Post Office, Bakery, Coffee Shop, Florist, Dry Cleaner, Barber, and several more great restaurants. The downtown Pearl Street pedestrian mall is exactly 1 mile away and takes about 10 mins to walk to, Ideal Market Shopping Center is just 4 blocks up the street, both are lovely walks.

CU and Naropa are both easily accessible by foot, bike, bus and car, and the main bus station that has routes to DIA and Eldora Mountain Ski Resort are also a short, scenic walk of about 1 mile.

This house is the entire lower level of a duplex. It is roomy at 1200 sq ft. and private because of its unique topographical location. From the house, you can gaze out across the tree tops of the city to the mountains.

There is off-street parking for 2 cars in the driveway where there is a carport, a nice feature when it snows in the Winter. There is also plenty of parking on this quiet street.

Secure bike and ski storage is also available.

Why Whitney Sinclair chose Boulder

We used to live at this house and it is an awesome place to live! We were inspired to offer it as a vacation rental when we moved to another home close by, but lamented how we would miss living here. Its such an easy, enjoyable, inspiring place to live with its simple, modern layout, manageable size, convenient location, and spectacular views. Even though we no longer live here, it's fun providing this accommodation to people visiting Boulder and it makes us happy to stay connected to this home.

What makes this house unique

One of the best things about this house is how it is quiet and peaceful yet right in the middle of the best that Boulder has to offer. It's so easy to walk to lunch, dinner, the coffee shop, grocery store, or farmers market - and the views never get old.

Great location for Ironman, would stay here again.

  • 4 of 5
My family and I stayed here for 8 nights around Ironman Boulder in early August and we loved it. The location is really good-we could walk to Pearl Street and around anywhere in central Boulder. The beds are very comfortable and the kitchen is well-stocked.
For those planning to do Ironman-it's only about a 15 minute walk to the high school and just about a 10 minute walk from the finish line.
The only downside is the fact that it's below another rental and we had some neighbors who arrived late and so we could hear their rolling suitcases and walking one night, but it wasn't bad.
The only recommendation I would make is to have some cheap bikes for us to use while we're there. I rented a place earlier in the summer in Boulder and it was nice to have those bikes so we didn't have to drive anywhere.
Renting a house as opposed to a hotel room is the way to go-this place was comparable in price, bigger, and then we were able to cook instead of going out to eat every meal. We would definitely stay here again. The owners are very good at communicating.

Fabulous place for long and short stays

  • 5 of 5
Our family of four (including 2 children under the age of 3 years) had a wonderful time staying here for 10 weeks. Given it was such a long stay, we really had a chance to experience and appreciate the accommodation, its location and Whitney's and Oliver's superb hospitality to its fullest. The downstairs apartment of this duplex was perfect for us as a family. There was plenty of room inside, and the living space flowed easily both out the front and back to safe, green areas for the kids. We especially enjoyed harvesting raspberries, tomatoes, parsley and mint from the garden. And the regular sightings of deer and squirrels in the front yard was a novelty for us. The kitchen was great for cooking (all appliances new and well kept) and the BBQ was well utilised in the back yard. The bedrooms were spacious and comfortable with plenty of storage throughout for all our kit! We did not have a car, but didn't miss it as everything was reasonably close walking distance - 12 minutes to awesome coffee at Boxcar, Pearl St mall only 15 minutes, Wholefoods just down the road, parks in all directions and 2 swimming pools within 10 minutes walk. And for excursions further afield, plenty of bus routes are within 3-5 minutes walk away. As hosts, Whitney and Oliver were extremely attentive and responsive should anything arise. In some cases anticipating our needs before we had to ask. We will definitely be in touch when we return to Boulder.

Owner's Response: Hi Fiona!

Thank you so much for taking the time to write this wonderful review for us! It was such a pleasure having your family as guests, thank you for taking such great care of our place.

I just regret that we didn't get to BBQ like we'd hoped! We must get together when you return to Colorado!

Glad you are all back safe and sound in NZ.

Warm Wishes, Whitney

Family with two preteen boys

This place is nice and well kept. The only downside is that it can be noisy from the people upstairs if they are renting that out at the same time...it didn't bother us much but something to consider. It is nice to have covered parking. The beds were clean and comfortable and the living room made it very easy to relax. The location to the shops and the stadium were good. Nice place to stay.

Owner's Response: Hi Barrett, thanks so much for taking the time to recommend our place to other travelers. I'm delighted you enjoyed your stay at our place in Boulder.

It's true that you can sometimes hear footsteps from the guests upstairs, but like you mentioned, it seems like it doesn't bother most guests. We've never had a serious or formal complaint, and we set the rates to reflect. I also do my best to mention this possibility to all of our guests who are considering this house, just in case.

And, I think it's nice to note that the 2 units have totally separate HVAC systems so there really is never a transfer of voices or talking at all, even when a baby is crying for example, (which I happen to know since I used to live here with my baby and the neighbors said they never heard her when she cried) ;-)

Hope that's a helpful combo of comments regarding this aspect of this particular house.

Kind Regards, Whitney

Pretty, Clean, Good Location

  • 4 of 5
My husband and I stayed at this property with our two elementary school aged kids and very much enjoyed it. The owners have done a wonderful job of making it an incredibly clean, comfortable and stylish house. The decor is refreshingly simple and pretty and there is plenty of room for everyone to spread out.

Coming from Texas, we were a bit surprised there wasn't an A/C unit in the property, but found that the house cooled down a lot at night with the windows left cracked open. Even on a 90+ degree day, we were comfortable. There are two fans available that worked very well.

Whitney was super responsive with any of our concerns/issues and we enjoyed dealing with her. I would stay here again the next time we're in Boulder.

Boulder stay

  • 5 of 5
I was very very happy with the house and the owners were extremely helpful. Any questions I had were answered very promptly. I would highly recommend this vacation property. It was within walking distance to Pearl Street Mall and there are shops and restaurants a few blocks away. We all enjoyed the baked goods from Breadworks and it was a great spot to get breakfast or lunch (their pizza is fantastic). Easy waking distance to Ideal Market for groceries, etc.
