Stunning views near Times Square sleeps 4

Thank you for this rental. Can' beat the location of this rental property. Just the right distance away from the chaos of Times Square, but yet short walk to all Broadway shows, Times Square, Subway, Port Authority, Circle Line Boat tour, the USS intrepid museum and the Food Emporium. Tons of restaurants, and shops all around. Daughter loved Pinkberry...just 1 block away. Check in was very easy. Called the property manager when we landed at LaGuardia Airport, and she was there to meet us when we arrived at the apt. The studio apt. was small, i would say perfect for 2 adults. Space was a little tight for us (2 adults and 2 teenagers) not much space for 4 big suitcases, but there is a beautiful and roomy lounge area on the second floor, which we took advantage of often. Great fitness room if you didn't fit in enough walking during the day. This rental had everything we needed, and was very clean. We always felt safe in this neighbourhood.

Unsere kleine Familie (2 Ew, 1 Mädchen 9J) hat dieses Appartement für 2 Wochen im August 2011 genutzt. Die Lage ist hervorragend. Neben der guten Fußläufigkeit zur Subway kann man den frequenten Bus M42 nehmen, der direkt um die Gebäudeecke eine Haltestelle hat und die 42te einschließlich Times Square, Public Library und Grand Central abfährt. Alles, was man zum Leben braucht, gibt es in unmittelbarer Nähe: 24/7-Supermarkt (Food Emporium, ein Block weiter), Banken und Delis (überall auf dem Weg Richtung TSq), Fast Food (Subway im Haus), unzählige gute Restaurants (gutes 24/7-Diner gleich gegenüber, Hells Kitchen und die Restaurant Row sind nur wenige Schritte entfernt. In wenigen Metern ist man auch am Hudson-Ufer, wo ein durchgehender Promenadenweg die Piers verbindet, die zahlreiche Sport- und Freizeitangebote bereithalten. So startet quasi gleich um die Ecke die Circle Line (Umrundung Manhattens mit dem Schiff) und befindet sich auf dem ehemaligen Pier 85 ein kleiner Park, in dem im Sommer häufig Open Air Konzerte stattfinden. Die Wohnung selber liegt im 24.OG, ist NY-typisch klein, aber sauber und ausreichend. Wenn man zu dritt oder zu viert da ist, ist sie mit den beiden Betten praktisch voll, zum Sitzen geht man dann auf den Balkon (der alleine die halbe Miete wert ist, freier Blick zum Hudson, nach NJ und Richtung Uptown). Ausstattungsseitig ist alles da, was man braucht, Bettzeug, Handtücher, Geschirr etc., auch Geschirrspültabs, Klopapier, Gewürze etc. sind vorhanden. Internet geht über Kabel (RJ45-Stecker, kein Login) oder kostenloses WLAN im 2.OG. Die Schwimmhalle ist von 7-10 und 17-22 Uhr geöffnet, bei uns waren meist nur 3-4 Leute drin. Im 2.OG gibt es viele Freizeitangebote, Großbild-Fernseher, kleine Bibliothek, Pool-Billiard, Terasse, Gym - für Mieter alles kostenfrei. Das Personal ist freundlich und hilfsbereit, stets hält jemand die Tür auf - wie im Ritz. Mit dem Vermieter gab es eine schnelle, freundliche und kundenorientierte Kommunikation - weil ich kein Freund von PayPal bin, hat er mal eben (für die US nicht selbstverständlich, weil unüblich) Banküberweisung akzeptiert. Die Übergabe übernimmt eine freundliche Property Mangerin (Choi), die man eine Stunde vor Ankunft anruft, und die einen dann vor Ort empfängt. Sie ist auch die ganze Aufenthaltszeit über per Handy erreichbar. Wir haben den Aufenthalt dort sehr genossen und würden das Appartment sofort wieder nehmen. THANK YOU TOIVO&CHOI, CU NEXT TIME!

My husband and I stayed with our 4yr old son at Toivo & Eunju studio. We had a 2 days delay with our arriving flight, and the owners did their best to re schedule our stay. The building is excellent, and people at the entrance were always well predisposed to help us. The restaurant crossing the street is open 24 hours and the breakfast is very good! The neighbourhood made us feel "at home". There is a Food Emporium on the same street and we bought food there and then cook it at the apt. The subway on 42nd is 3 blocks away and there`s a close playground if you with children. Ahhh there´s a good laundry too. Thanks Toivo and Eunju. we hope to see you again!
