A charming beach house. Wrap around deck for barbecuing and relaxing with the wonderful view of the beach only a stones throw away. There is a main house with a bedroom/sleeping quarters downstairs. THere is a small detached cabana. The cabana has a bedroom, full bath and sunroom.
We love the Olympic Peninsula and this quiet community.

Serentity and beauty abound.
Quiet beach for beach combing, clam digging and boating. Bring your bikes, kayaks or paddle boards. Minimal car traffic. Access to historic towns offering supreme dining and shops within close driving distances.
My family and were in Washington to visit family for Thanksgiving and we stayed at this house for our four days here. We rented it sight unseen and it turned out to be every bit as charming, clean and homey as we had hoped. The listing was accurate and represented the property. The property was clean and all we had to do was show up. The location is right across from the water and it is cozy. This is a beautiful area of the country! The owner was easy to work with and very accommodating.
I would absolutely recommend this rental to anyone traveling to the area.
Great location, easy beach access, comfortable and very quiet. The owner was very helpful and responsive to all questions. There's an amazing view from the house and deck and a great rate. Looking forward to the next visist.
This property was slightly miss represented. The main house has one bedroom with the only shower in the master bedroom. The basement has one twin and a bunk bed, however the bunk bed is unsafe for anyone to sleep on. So it is a twin mattress on the floor. The futon in the living room is broken so we used the padding on the floor. As for the Cabana...GREAT for the in-laws. The deck has ton of seating and was were we spent most of our time.
The beach was great and very enjoyable. Lots to explore for the kids.
All in all we had a great time! We spent time with family and dealt with the issues as they came at us. Fun was had by all.
We rented this house at the last minute and it ended up being exactly what we needed! I applied, paid & the next day I got the email that we were good to go.. The house had plenty of room just as it said.. It was me, 3 other adults, 2 eleven yr old girls & my 2yr old son so 7 total.. We had another couple who wanted to also rent the cabana but the ad was a little missleading because the second bedroom IS the cabana.. So there's a master bedroom upstairs with its own full bathroom & a large downstairs basement type room with bunkbeds & a single twin.. This was a HUGE hit for the kids.. I had to make them go outside to play :-) .. The cabana was the second bedroom as its referred to in the ad and its detached from the house with its own full bath.. theres also a convenient half bath upstairs. .The awesome large deck is great with plenty of table n chairs.. To block my wondering toddler I just used the bbq to block the walkway.. Small children should always be supervised tho so they dont push a chair over & fall off.. We all felt very safe & relaxed there.. We brought a ton of stuff but the house supplied tp, detergent, etc.. There is a dish washer but we hand washed.. Easy close walk to the beach, was fun for claming & exploring.. Squim was about 45 minutes away so we visited the Olympic game farm n had a blast.. At night you can hear the brook running so we slept with windows open.. The house has thin walls, fyi.. Also if the windows are open, anyone outside can hear you so shhhh.. The house was clean n cozy & we were all bummed when it was time to go.. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to get away.. The price was reasonable split between friends.. I have yet to get the $50 deposit back though so we'll see.. We're neat freaks so we treated it as our own.. The owner was great answering all my questions too.. If you go, you'll have some fun memories too!! Thanks Darcy for sharing your home with us!
What a wonderful vacation! We spent 8 days at this terrific cottage at Paradise Bay just south of Port Ludlow. Our family of 9 fit comfortably into the cottage and cabana - both are clean and family-friendly. We used the big deck nightly, the BBQ several nights, and walked to the beach every day. The owner is very accommodating and helpful, adding information and suggestions for our stay. From this cottage, it is an easy drive to Port Townsend or Port Angeles - make sure you check out the views from Hurricane Ridge! - or to Bainbridge for the ferry to downtown Seattle. So if you want peace and quiet, then you can have it in this hamlet-sized community. Or, if you want the big city - Seattle or Tacoma - or the many tourist attractions nearby, then you can have those too. This place was perfect for us and we have already contacted the owner about booking two weeks next year.
Our time here was quite enjoyable. My family loved the private beach that was in walking distance. We loved being able to come back to this home that was relaxing & had everything we needed (towels, washer, etc). The view from the deck was calm & peaceful. The neighborhood was quiet. We didn't spend much time in the home but when we were there it was perfect for us. The owner was absolutely wonderful to deal with very kind & friendly which made the experience even more pleasant.
Paradise Bay is located on Hood Canal. Adventures await throughout the Olympic Peninsula including wildlife preserves, historic towns, scenic view hikes and water activities. Boat trailer parking available in front of the home. There is a small boat ramp adjacent to the house. Larger boats can be launched at a resort minutes away. This is also a golfers haven.
