The lodge is on the outskirts of the village of Shadoxhurst, with its popular pub and 13th century church and the nearest supermarket is about 5 minutes’ drive away.
Ashford is about 4 miles away, with its many shops (including the Ashford Designer Outlet), restaurants and leisure facilities, including a cinema and bowling alley. For the golfer, there are a number of golf courses in the area.
Ashford International Station is about 10 minutes’ drive away, if you fancy a day out in London, or a day trip to France or Belgium travelling on the Eurostar. The Channel Tunnel is about 20 miles away, should you wish to do some duty-free shopping in France.
The beaches at Camber Sands, Dover and Folkestone are within easy reach and other attractions in the area include Leeds Castle, Dover Castle, Canterbury Cathedral, Romney, Hythe and Dymchurch Steam Railway, and Howletts and Port Lympne Wildlife Parks.
