APARTMENT LUNGARNO

L'appartement VESPUCCI, idéalement situé, à 15' à pied du centre ville, nous a permis de nous consacrer à la ville et ses sites remarquables sans avoir à perdre de temps en transport ou recherche de stationnement (mission impossible à Florence). Situé dans la Zone à Trafic Limité, le calme est garanti. Coquet, confortable et très propre, nous avons aussi apprécié la possibilité de garer notre voiture dans la cour intérieure de l'immeuble (avec entrée sécurisée).
Lucia, très accueillante, nous a communiqué dès notre arrivée tous les détails pratiques au bon déroulement de notre séjour (commerces, restaurant, lignes de bus...etc...).
Somme toute, ce fut un séjour très agréable. Cinq jours de plaisir et de découvertes. Si nous revenons à Florence, ce sera à cette adresse que nous conseillons vivement.

We are an older couple of experienced travelers. We stayed in the one bedroom Apartment Vespucci for ten days. Lucia was a most accommodating and gracious host. The apartment was spacious, clean and well appointed, including a washing machine and dishwasher.
It was in a perfect position to explore all of the old city of Florence by walking and near the tram, train and bus station to go further afield. It was on the river Arno, so that was an enjoyable walk to the old city each morning.
There was a large supermarket just across the bridge and many restaurants within walking distance.
We'll love to stay again in the near future.

This property has so many positives and only one negative. Great location - 20 minute stroll to main piazzas, sites and shopping; 5 minute walk to a variety of ristorantes and trattorias; 5 minutes to not one but two supermarkets; spacious living quarters (2,700 sq. ft.); lots of privacy; safe surroundings; stimulating view, day or night; kitchen was adequately equipped. Only major downside is lack of WiFi which became increasingly frustrating because one, it was advertised as having WiFi which in fact is based on sharing a weak signal from Lucia's personal router next door; two, only a very limited section of the apartment actually allowed for a signal to be picked up; and three, once you did get a signal you had a 50:50 chance of losing the signal while using it. Probably should not advertise as having WiFi unless a dedicated router with a dedicated IP address is installed in the. All in all though, a great bang for your buck - tremendous value. Clean, spacious and well located. And Lucia is a charming and well-informed host always at the ready to help make your stay more enjoyable. She even picked us up at the airport. This is a fabulous way to visit one of Europe's most fascinating and relevant cities. I would definitely return to this property.
