Had a great stay during March break. Our hosts were great - thanks for the biking tips for my ride through the Golden Gate Park, the Presidio and over the Golden Gate Bridge to the Marin Headlands. Apartment is full of light, clean and has lots of room. Access to the sunny back yard was a bonus. We did some cooking (awesome seafood available in Chinatown) so the gas stove, large fridge and good quality pots and pans were great to have. A great location, only a two minutes walk to Golden Gate Park which includes the de Young Museum, California Academy of Sciences building and is a great place for an early morning run. Irvine street - reached by walking through the park - has a number of restaurants. Public transit is right at the entrance to the Park and gets you downtown and to areas such as the Mission, Castro, Haight-Ashbury and SOMA Districts if no car.
All in all an excellent place to stay whether you want to stroll the local neighbourhood and parks, venture downtown or use as a base to head out of town to places like Pointe Reyes National Seashore, Muir Woods, Sausalito or south to Santa Cruz. We enjoyed ourselves immensely. Would definitely stay here again.
My young family of five (3 boys, aged 4, 3 & 3 mo) stayed in this quaint suite for three nights and really enjoyed our time there. Outfitted with quality appliances like gas top stove and dishwasher it made out stay very comfortable. As my husband has food allergies we cook ALOT and this was a nice option for us with our young family. Made for easy breakfasts in-suite from fruit from the local grocer on 4th street and off for a day of exploring the city. A blow up double mattress was available for our little guys and the suite bedroom had a nice sized closet and super comfortable bed. The bathroom was nicely equipped and clean, with lots of room for your stuff.
This rental was ideally located for us, as it was steps away from a park within Golden Gate Park, and walk about ten minutes in and there is a very large Children's Playground accompanied by carousels and impressive children's actives. We had a rental car and did all the major attractions (Alcatraz, Union Square, Fisherman's Warf, Muir Woods, Golden Gate Bridge, etc) and found we were never to far in any direction from something we all wanted to see a do.
Would definitely recommend this suite, very nice owners with a beautiful rental property.
Accommodation in San Francisco was both good and bad. Just want to say one important thing about the landlord that we rented the accommodation of, and it's always to welcome tenants in person but they for sure didn't. What made the accommodation not so good was that there weren't any respect shown or regard for the tenants living there. The house - or landlord were very noisy and it was a big disturbance, you deserve a little consideration as tenants. However the apartment was very nice and clean.
The Inner Richmond is the heart of San Francisco with all the conveniences. The house is located just north of Golden Gate Park and a short walk to the California Academy of Sciences and DeYoung Museum, a lake with row & paddle boats, and the Japanese Tea Garden. With the park closed to traffic on Sundays, Golden Gate Park is a perfect place for family bike rides. A short bus trip takes you west to Ocean Beach for sunset viewing, or east to attractions downtown. 1.5 miles north, Golden Gate Bridge connects to sunny Marin County, home to Muir Woods National Park, beaches, hiking, boating, surfing, and biking.
