Resi and Ambert left The Netherlands in 2004 to go to France, where they bought the beautiful house 'Residence Ambert'
Ambert wanted to restore the house and Resi wanted to start her Gallery, but it took more than 8 years to start the Gallery, because there was so much work for Ambert and Resi on the house. We want to invite you to come to us and have a look at all the work we have done to the house and garden, now it has become a little paradise.
At last Resi opened her Gallery in June 2012.

The Owner purchased this farmhouse in 2004
We chose this property, because the house and the setting is very beautiful and it is so quiet over here. The village is small and the people are very friendly. We can make beautiful walks from our house direct into the woods. We are not far from the city, but far enough to have our peace. Its paradise over here.
The house has a charming touch like you are in a fairytale. With the Pigeonier ( pigeon tower) it looks like a little castle.
The beautiful stone work with the warm yellow colour. All placed in the setting of the beautiful garden, gives us a very happy feeling.
And now with the new overground swimming pool in diameter 5.55m it is lovely to cool down in the warm summers and very save for the little children.
It is also nice for you to know that you are the only guests in 'Residence Ambert'.
You can see that you both worked very hard to make it a succes and you did make it a success.
We enjoyed the tranquillity and the surroundings.
We had a wonderful rest this holiday and that was our goal.
Thanks for your hospitality.
We wish you a lot of success with everything, You will succeed.
Great hospitality, beautiful warm homley cotages(Gite). All in all an exceptional week, with many good tips from the hosts. Beautiful surroundings and we will definitely come back again,

This gite is beautiful, set in a beautiful garden in a lovely old village.
Resi and Ambert are a lovely couple and perfect hosts.
There is so much to explore and many beautiful villages in this region of France, our one week there was not enough to do it justice.
We hope it won't be too long before we can pay a return visit and would love to stay here again. We would highly recomend it to anyone visiting this region of France
We had a lovely week at Residence Ambert, The gite was lovely and very well equipped,Beautiful garden, The perfect place to relax after a day sight seeing.
Resi and Ambert are perfect hosts, Knowing my mother has Coeliac disease Resi had gluten free bread in for her and even took us to supermarket so we good but more gluten free produce for her. We dined wth them a few night and the food and company was excellent.
St Grat is a pretty little village and perfect for exploring the beautiful area.
Thank you Ambert and Resi for a perfect holiday.
Would certainly recommend and will book again if in area.
Maureen , Ewan and Margaret.
We have recently returned from a wonderful 2 week holiday in France in an area we had not visited before.
The Residence Ambert could not have been bettered. It was absolutely BRILLIANT and the owners, Resi & Ambert, were the perfect hosts. We were given such a warm and sincere welcome by them both and if we needed them during our stay they were always on hand to help.
The accommodation was delightful, well furnished and very comfortable, as were the beds. We have never before experienced such a well equipped self catering property, plenty of crockery, cutlery, pots and pans, a dishwasher, hob, microwave plus a small oven. There was a television, stereo, dvd player and, should you have children, plenty of toys and games to play with.
The garden is a haven of peace and tranquility with all you need for outdoor dining, plus a BBQ area for cooking. (We would also certainly recommend booking a meal with the owners - we had a fantastic meal & evening with them).
Although St Grat is a small village, we found it to have a delightful ambiance and we visited many places of interest and great beauty in the region.
Resi & Ambert have thought of everything and have created near perfection at their Gite and we will certainly be recommending it to others and we hope to return ourselves.

The region is named after the river Aveyron, hidden between the hills and mountains, cut by river valleys, rich in forests and rocky terrain. The Aveyron is now seen as the green heart of South West France, where nature is not yet spoiled, the fish cheerful swim and it is abundant with wild life. Blessed with a mild climate (the weather stays very nice till late in the season). Within a radius of 50 km around 'Residence Ambert' you will find a few of the most beautiful villages in France, who have earned the predicate: 'un des plus beaux villages de France”: St Cirq Lapopie, Conques, Estaing, La Couvertoirade, Cordes, Najac and Belcastel. Also the cities: Villefranche de Rouergue, Figeac, Cahors, Rodez and Albi are worthwhile to visit. Chateaux, caves, churches and abbeys, the caves of Foissac, markets, vide-greniers (car boot sales) and brocantes (antiques & bric-à-brac), you can find it all in the surroundings. You can start walking from the house right into the woods. Biking with two all terrain bikes (Free). Play pétanque on the special pétanque field on our village green; the pétanque balls you find in the holiday home. You also can play football on the village green.
We can give you nice places to go to little beaches in the neighbourhood.
You can go for a canoe trip in St. Antonin Noble Val or in Najac.
Near the holiday home (15 minutes by car) there is a golf course with 9 holes in a beautiful setting.
Come over here and discover it all. You are most welcome.
