This is a family own home. Roger and Nancy Gribi (my parents) and my husband and I (David and Melissa West) bought this home in April of 2013. We have been spending the month updating the home for you to enjoy this summer. We are all very excited about this house and feel that it is the perfect spot to enjoy this little town we call home. Roger is a 3rd generation Elk. I graduated from Elk Rapids High School and moved to Hawaii where I met my husband. After living there for a few years and bringing my Hawaiian husband back to Elk Rapids for vacations we decided that Elk Rapids was the community we wanted live and raise our boys in. We are so happy with our decision, the people are amazing, the community is wholesome, the natural beauty is astounding. We are all proud to call Elk Rapids home.
This property caught our attention in November of 2012. When we first looked at it we all fell in love with the character it has to offer. I love old houses! But growing up in the country outside of the village we were drawn to the idea of being able to walk and bike to all of the fun things downtown Elk Rapids has to offer.
We fell in love with the size of the home. We love that there is plenty of space to get away and have privacy. We also are very happy with the neighborhood. It is quiet and set back in town just far enough that you are out of the hustle and bustle yet still close enough to walk and bike.
The Village of Elk Rapids is a cute little town surrounded by water. Within walking/biking distance from our property you will find beautiful sandy beaches, parks with play structures, tennis courts and Basketball courts. Great restaurants for breakfast lunch and dinner. Also beautiful clothing and antique stores and many other cute shops. There are 4 art galleries in the village limits and a Walk of Art Sculpture Park just 5 blocks away.A great library and historical museum. You can finish your night off with a beautiful sunset over looking Grand Traverse East Bay or a movie at our local cinema. Many fun Daytrips: Traverse City, Sleeping Bear Dunes, Leland, Frankfurt, Petoskey, Harbor Springs, Mackinaw Bridge/ Island
