Overview

Cloverdale Cottage Rental Photos and Description

Open format studio with great modern amenities

Rental in Sonoma - Open-format Studio apartment opening on to a garden. Clawfoot tub, Chef's kitchen, and beautiful finishes. Located in quaint Cloverdale in the heart of Sonoma Wine Country just 5 miles from some of the best wineries: Fritz, Ferrari-Carano, Pedroncelli, Dry Creek, etc.

The space was remodeled in April of 2013 with great care and attention to detail. Italian tile throughout. Stained cement floors in the main living space.

The bathroom is devine, romantic, and very relaxing. I installed a vintage claw foot tub into the space and added french doors that open onto the main living space.

I also used recycled barn wood on a lot of finishing touches such as moldings, bookshelves, and wall paneling.

A lot of design care went into the space.

Amazing garden space:

Outdoor Fireplace. Outdoor Hammock. BBQ. Outdoor trellis eating area.

Monthly rental.

Suitability:
  • Events Allowed
  • Long-term Renters Welcome
  • non smoking only
  • pets not allowed
  • wheelchair inaccessible

A Fulfilling Sonoma County Experieince

  • 4 of 5
This was our first VRBO experience, and very positive. The property is located in a good location to services within Cloverdale, which itself, provides proximal location to everything northern Sonoma County has to offer, including a glimpse into what the the gentrified Healdsburg area was like in the 90's. The owners/family were gracious and we spent 2 of our 5 evenings sharing wine while BBQing and exchanging perspectives on domestic and foreign matters. We are generally private people and are challenged to fine others able to share differing but intelligent conversation and the interactions were enjoyable. The unit itself is a small, detached, fully contained and well appointed unit that shares a backyard/courtyard that begs to have time spent in it by day to read or evenings by the fire pit. We are a bit picky and I'm a neat-freak, so the only thing holding back a 5-star rating are a few cobwebs and some dog poop in the grave pathway, but that said, their dog and cat are both great attractions too. If you like a location that serves as a base and gateway to activities, this is a fantastic venue.

Enjoy but be aware !

  • 2 of 5
Stayed in this property for a total of seven days this month. Unit is exactly as advertised with a lot of attention paid to detail as mentioned by owner. Owner should be proud of results. Cloverdale -is a very sleepy town with non existant activity post 5:00 pm each night.
Sign on well advertised down town wine tasting est. indicated it had just gone out of business the previous week The site was at the time we booked an affordable kick-off to all other Sonoma wineries and activities. Travelers should be aware that wi-fi is spotty at times as we experienced on a few occasions. The administrative process leaves much to be desired as this has been left in the hands of someone other that the owner and signals seemed to have been crossed on a number of issues.

Owner's Response: I would first like to thank VRBO for giving me the opportunity to say that I am extremely fortunate to live in the delightful town of Cloverdale where we welcome all our visitors with world-class entertainment well past 5pm in the afternoon.
The city puts on “Friday Night Live” at the Plaza, which includes a farmers market; fun rides for the young at the young at heart and local delicacies ranging from a snow cone to delicious Thai food can be enjoyed. There is also musical entertainment with award winning bands with a venue ranging from Reggae to Louisiana Jazz that continues to well past 10pm.
With thousands of artists and more than 120 performing arts companies, it's been said that Sonoma County has more artists per capita than anywhere else in California and our Preforming Arts center in Cloverdale is no exception putting on award winning theater performances and hosting world class entertainers.
On Thursday nights La Hacienda and Piacere have live music. On Saturday and Sunday nights the BrewPub has live bands including Jazz and any visiting band including fiddlers, depending on who may be performing at the Citrus Fair.
The Dante has live music on Monday nights and is open on most night till 3am. On Monday nights you can learn to Salsa with classes beginning at 7pm.
At our over 400 award winning wineries there is so much to celebrate including Sonoma County’s rich agricultural heritage and Sonoma’s Eco side where outdoor activities in the County's Regional Parks have so much to offer. Explore redwood forests, stunning beaches, whale watching and bird viewing, hiking, biking, kayaking, swimming, canoeing, white water rafting and tubing.
I work here writing content for many successful travel companies. I manage over 500 writers and editors and have never had a problem with reception on the internet. On vary rare occasions we have had power outages. The gentleman in question came early one morning a bit agitated that there was no internet. I told him we had a power outage and it will be on again shortly.
I am also an owner in this business and have 100% control over any decision that is to be made. I found the gentleman to be frequently adversarial and disrespectful, very few guests are like that. His wife was lovely. Our visitors have fully enjoyed our hospitality, the easy country life, slow, peaceful and quiet if that is what one wants. Or one may live it up in Sonoma after sunset with live music venues, dance clubs, hip lounges, and comfy pubs

New, clean and close to everything!

  • 5 of 5
I stayed here for the month of July 2013 and I absolutely loved it! The property is a short drive to Healdsburg and Geyserville and near all the great wineries in Sonoma County. This property is new and clean and it has a great kitchen and bathroom. The owner has a vegetable and herb garden that she shares with renters. Great layout - perfect for 1-3 people. I lived in San Francisco in Spring 2012 and I spent a lot of time in Sonoma County. I know the area well and I would definitely rent this property again. It's also close to other areas: Calistoga and St. Helena are 1 hour away and a beautiful drive on Highway 128; Bodega Bay is a 1 hour drive; Anderson Valley is 30 minutes (Mendocino County); Humboldt Redwoods State Park 2.5 hours (another stunning drive). I've rented on VRBO several times and this is a great location for the price. Highly recommend!!
