We love historic and beautiful Newport! There is so much to do and see--from checking out the gorgeous beaches to touring the historic mansions to visiting some of New England's best restaurants and bars--you can't go wrong! The Newport Information Center has the best information about the area but here are a few of our favorites: -Probably the best part about staying at our beach house, is LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION! We are literally a five minute walk to Atlantic Beach. Our beach house is one mile from the renowned Cliff Walk (entrance on Memorial Blvd). It's a must-do activity for all! -In addition to the beautiful beaches, if you want to take in some of the island's natural beauty, Sachuest Point National Wildlife Refuge is an amazing place to go for a walk. It’s a small but notable refuge with amazing views of the ocean and Newport! -If you are a 'Downton Abbey' fan or history-lover, then explore the late 1800s and early 1900s of American history and European-influenced architecture at one of Newport’s famed “summer cottages”, including the Vanderbilt's Breakers Mansion: -You are a stone's throw away from three great restaurants (four min walk): the famous Flo's Clam Shack, the Atlantic Beach Club, which is a great spot for a post-beach drink, and the Atlantic Grille, a local, family-friendly seafood restaurant.
