Overview

Pensacola Beach Condo Rental Photos and Description

2 Bedroom, 2 Bathroom Condo With Gorgeous Gulf View

Our property is a 1300 square foot, 2 bedroom, 2 bath, gulf view unit located in the Palm Beach Club condominium building on Santa Rosa Island, Florida.

This is a split level unit with the living, dining, kitchen areas on the top level and bedrooms, bathrooms on the bottom. The spacious kitchen is fully stocked with stainless steel appliances and granite counter tops. The living room includes a fireplace, sofa with a pull out queen sized mattress, a beautiful view of the gulf, and balcony. The vaulted ceilings and huge windows give an open feel that is hard to find in a condo. The dining area overlooks the gulf.

The guest bedroom has a full size bed, twin sized futon sleeper, and private bathroom. The spacious master bedroom has a king size bed, shower/jacuzzi tub, and private balcony overlooking the gulf.

It's a quick 3 minute walk to the gulf, or enjoy the calmer waters of the private beach on the bay.

The complex has a large pool and deck area overlooking the bay.

As the last complex on the island before reaching historic Fort Pickens, the area is quiet and family oriented. But its a short walk or quick trolley ride to the nightlife of the Portofino boardwalk and casino beach.

This property is a great place for young professionals looking to relax and unwind, snowbirds looking to thaw and recharge, and for families wanting to create lifetime memories.

What is there to do on Pensacola beach?

• you will find one of the most beautiful beaches in the world by accessing Gulf Island National Seashore, to the immediate west of the condo, where blue skies, emerald green water, and swaying sea oats provide the perfect backdrop for your vacation. Excellent for biking or kayaking. There is an artificial reef just west of the private bay beach which is perfect for snorkeling.

• the Pensacola beach pier is one of the longest in the Gulf of Mexico at 1/4 of a mile. Fish for snapper, grouper, or cobia. Take a charter to fish for yellowfin tuna.

• Portofino boardwalk features open-air bars and restaurants, shops.

• Aquatic Charters offers 2 hour dolphin cruises aboard 'chase-n-fins' in Pensacola Bay and Santa Rosa Sound watching Bottle Nose Dolphins in their natural environment.

• experience hands-on history at the National Naval Aviation Museum located at the Pensacola Naval Air Station. See more than 4,000 artifacts and over 150 beautifully restored aircraft representing Navy, Marine Corps and Coast Guard aviation. Experience the thrill of flight in the flight simulators or IMAX Theatre.

• Pensacola is proud to call itself home to the U.S. Navy's Blue Angels. If you haven't seen the Blue Angels perform aerial stunts at 700 mph, here is your chance! The 'Blues' perform two shows a year in the Pensacola Bay area, but at 8:30 A.M. each Tuesday and Wednesday morning March through November they practice over Naval Air Station Pensacola.

• if you are a history-lover or a beer nut, you will want to visit Pensacola Bay Brewery in downtown Pensacola. Visit the tap room to find gifts, taste a sample of their newest brew and talk with their brew masters. Brewery tours are available at 3:30 pm on Friday and Saturday.

• Fort Pickens is the largest of four forts built to defend Pensacola Bay. The fort was completed in 1834, and was named in honor of Major General Andrew Pickens. Fort Pickens is one of only four forts in the south that were never occupied by confederate forces during the civil war. Explore the tunnels of the fortification, march across the parade grounds, or marvel at the huge cannon.

About Kevin Guidroz

My wife and I live in Covington, LA. My wife and her extended family have visited Pensacola Beach annually for 25 years. To be honest, I never really considered myself a 'beach person' when I started joining them in 2004.

Kevin Guidroz purchased this condo in 2012

Why Kevin Guidroz chose Pensacola Beach

In 2011, we made a trip to Pensacola Beach that really was life changing. The water was so clear, the beach immaculate and peaceful . Void of the crowds in the fall, we were able to explore the island and met a bunch of friendly locals. The last morning, we watched the sunrise, sitting alone on the beach, with the surf the only sound. It was at that moment that I became a 'beach person'. On the way home, we decided that we wanted to own a piece of that experience for ourselves. Our trips are relaxing, fun, re-charging and nostalgic experiences. After looking at a lot of houses and other condo complexes, we chose Palm Beach Club. We loved how the split level floor plan, high ceilings, and quiet building felt more like a home than a condo.

What makes this condo unique

My wife and I love to cook, and the spacious, updated kitchen allows us to do so while entertaining family and friends. The proximity to the miles of protected beach, with unobstructed views was a great draw. But the biggest single factor was the view! When we first entered and walked into the living area, we saw the most beautiful beach and emerald water through the huge windows. We were sold!

Great Views!

  • 4 of 5
We spent the Christmas and New Year's holidays in Kevin and Melissa's unit at Palm Beach Club. Even Christmas is better on the beach! The views from this condo are unbeatable. The kitchen was well stocked if you like to cook at home like my husband and I do. The owner's are very easy to work with and we appreciated the use of their home away from home!

Excellent Condo, Convenient, Quiet

  • 5 of 5
For us, this was an absolutely terrific location. We don't like crowds and this is the last group of condos on the beach before the entrance to Ft. Pickens National Park on Santa Rosa Island. The complex is made up of 4 buildings with 2 on the bay-side and 2 on the gulf side. Our unit was in the western most building on the gulf side. The complex is across the street from the gulf - not on the gulf beach directly, but there's only a parking area for the beach on the other side, so no obstructions in terms of ocean viewing. There is a parking area for the bay-side beach next to the complex as well. This gives you an opportunity to change your mind quickly about which side you want to lounge on - which is not possible on wider parts of the island. Also on the bay-side is an artificial reef for snorkeling. The gulf-side beach here has bathroom/shower facilities and picnic pavilions. It was never particularly crowded (September). Lovely beach.

Each building has units numbered in the 100s and 200s. 200s are 2 story units on the top floor (as ours was). We had balconies on both floors and were able to watch dolphins swim in the gulf while we ate breakfast.

The complex is gated and there's not a lot of traffic at this end of the beach - with the exception of folks going to Ft. Pickens. Our unit was very nice and the kitchen appeared to have been renovated recently. Everything I needed in the kitchen was there. The bed (master) was comfortable; we slept like logs. The complex is quiet and well maintained. Our hosts (Kevin and Melissa) were helpful, informative and extremely nice. We would definitely stay here again.

Better than expected

  • 5 of 5
I'm writing this review while sitting at the kitchen table of this condo on my last day of our family vacation.

I'm compelled to write this now because our stay has been that great. Kevin made the rental process a breeze. Sent detailed instructions on everything we'd need to know. And he immediately checked in on us as soon as we arrived.

As for the unit itself, it is just as advertised in the pictures. In fact, the pictures don't do it justice. Our family has had the misfortune of driving 10+ hours from the beach only to find out that the things weren't quite as nice as they looked on the website. That is definitely not the case with this unit. The unit itself is clean and well maintained as well as the grounds of the complex. Beach access is a breeze, and there is a hidden gem in Ft. Pickens right up the road, less than a mile.

This was our first vacation in Pensacola Beach, and once we got the "lay of the land", navigating about town in Pensacola Beach, Gulf Breeze and Pensacola proper were a piece of cake.

If you're looking for a great value in beach rental, this definitely fits the bill. Our family will be staying here again in the future.

Thanks, Kevin!

Met some nice people while we stayed there. Found out there is deep water out behind on the bay side looking out from the pool, that the dolphins like to play in. Alas that was our last night there. Also the pool is not heated and it was on the chilly side while we were there. But I'm sure if the weather had been nicer before we got there it would have warmer. The beaches are very clean and with life guards. Didn't find "quiet beach" behind the Board walk by Alvin's Island until the last day - nice restaurants there and had wonderful pizza - plus there is a nice beach for little ones to play in. Having to go either up or down the stairs was a little hard on the knees. Wish there had been a bathroom on the upper floor. Even though the weather wasn't the best we enjoyed our stay.

Quiet and Peaceful

The condo was everything I hoped it to be. The kitchen was fantastic, and it was a joy to eat breakfast in the dining area or out on the patio and watch the waves roll in. The beds were comfy, and the entire complex was very quiet and family friendly. Can't wait to come back next year!

Relaxing, Relaxing, Relaxing

We had an excellent, relaxing, last minute beach get away before the kids went back to school. The photos totally capture the place..furniture and decor is so tastefully done!...of course the view is breathtaking!
The owners Kevin & Melissa were awesome to work with and answered any questions quickly!!
Love Peg Leg Pete's just down the road. We loved the seafood and our 9 year old said he had the "BEST CHICKEN STRIPS EVER".
Pensacola has got some of the best shelling of any beach and we discovered Fort Pickens for the first time and it's well worth the visit. Love the trolly and the stop is just across the street!
We hope to come back to their place on our next visit to Pensacola!
Thanks Kevin & Melissa

Owner's Response: Thanks Mark and Denise! Fort Pickens is a hidden treasure! The trolley is a great way to enjoy the restaurants and nightlife on the island. We agree that Peg Leg Pete's has great seafood......and there are so many other great restaurants on the beach. Can't wait to have you all back next year!
