It is located within the private gated estate of the Punta Cana Resort & Club, a 5 minute drive from the International Airport. The resort offers a choice of 9 restaurants/bars as well as 2 golf courses, tennis, horse riding, a marina and a multitude of water sports.
The Punta Cana Shopping Mall, close to the airport, offers further dining options, a supermarket and shops. The bustling town of Veron, a 15 minute drive, offers the opportunity to savour local life whilst the resort of Bavaro, a 30 minute drive away, offers further international restaurants and night life.
Golf: The Dominican Republic is the premier golf destination in the Caribbean. The Punta Cana Resort & Club currently has 2 courses, La Cana designed by P.B. Dye and Corales designed by Tom Fazio. A third course, Hacienda also designed by P.B.Dye will open in 2011.
There are also a number of other top courses within a 30 minute drive, including the Punta Espada course at Cap Cana and the Nick Faldo designed course at Roco-Ki.
