Praia del Rey – Golf & Beach Resort sits along Portugal’s gorgeous Silver Coast, is an easy hour’s drive north of Lisbon and right near the medieval town of Obidos, which is a World Heritage site. Nearby is the large salt water Obidos Lagoon on which many aquatic activities are enjoyed. The resort boasts a highly renown championship links golf course from which you can appreciate views of the Atlantic and Berlenga Islands beyond. Also, you’ll find a 5 star Marriott Hotel & Spa within walking distance.

Fresh grilled fish or traditional meat stews and delicious local wines are in abundance at the restaurants in the surrounding areas of Peniche, Obidos and Caldas da Rainha.

From its central location there are a variety of day trip locations to discover - historical, gastronomical, scenic or aquatic - and within 3 hours drive, you are enjoying port wines in Porto, the surf in the Algarve or crossing the border into Spain.

Golf: Praia Del Rey has an award winning 72 par golf course, rated as the best in Portugal and 15th in Europe. The course is part links and part wooded. It is a good test for all handicap abilities. Excellent golf shop and club house, golf academy with PGA-qualified teachers. Driving range, putting green and bunker practice area. Minimum handicap required: Men 28 and Ladies 36. A handicap certificate is required when booking in at the club house.

The Golden Eagle course is 45 mins by car and Campo Real approx 25 mins.

Notes: Small shop on resort selling most basic requirements including fresh bread daily. Supermarkets a short drive away in neighbouring village or close to the medieval town of Obidos. Larger supermarkets in Caldas da Rainha and Peniche. Cash machines at onsite hotel. There are many local places of interest, including the famous walled town of Obidos. The locals are all very friendly and welcome the opportunity for you to practice your Portuguese. The Silver Coast is still typical Portugal and has not been spoilt with over development. There are many local restaurants to try, a list is in the Villa of our favourites with contact telephone. The club house has an excellent restaurant with very friendly service. The 5 star Marriott Hotel is 3 mins walk and has bars and dining, gym and an excellent spa.

Definitivamente recomiendo esta casa

Si usted esta pensando en alquilar Villa Pines, no lo piense más, hágalo. La casa es maravillosa, disfrutará de su moderna arquitectura y una decoración con diseño pero con gran funcionalidad.
Las vistas al pinar son fabulosas y le dan mayor intimidad que el resto de las casas de la zona.
La urbanización es muy muy tranquila y el ambiente es de lo mas familiar. La playa es preciosa y poco concurrida aunque se debe tener cuidado si el mar esta revuelto.
De los alrededores recomiendo ir a comer buen pescado y surfear en Peniche ó disfrutar de un paseo por Óbidos.
Definitivamente recomiendo esta casa para familias con niños o grupos de amigos con ganas de disfrutar de las oportunidades de la zona.

Unsere Erwartungen übertroffen!

Die Villa del Rey hat unsere Erwartungen übertroffen! Sowohl die Ausstattung als auch der Service sind hervorragend und der Pool wirkt in natura größer als auf den Fotos. Die sehr ruhige Lage auf dem Resortgelände unweit zur Steilküste mit Strandzugang lässt keine Wünsche offen. Die Silvercoast Portugals hat uns mit einer Mischung aus rauer Natur, menschenleeren Stränden und gleichzeitig allen Möglichkeiten zur aktiven Freizeitgestaltung überzeugt.

Relaxing in Luxury

This was a great place to stay for me and my family. We were 6 people sharing this fantastic house.

Plenty of space, and all the luxury you can think of in a vacation house. I will highly recommend this house for anyone that enjoy relaxation and good golfing.

A modern gem!

" We have stayed on several occasions in Villa del Rey and we absolutely love it. This villa is amazing...modern, spacious, beautifully furnished with a great kitchen. The rooms are well sized with comfortable beds, ample wardrobe space and great bathrooms. The pool and yard area is perfect for a relaxing afternoon of sun! The gym and steamroom are a rare added bonus for this area and having a double garage is also really handy. In an area that has mostly older style villas, Villa del Rey feels like a little (or large should i say) modern gem! It is also a 2 minute walk to the golf club where we enjoy heading for an afternoon drink!


We spend all year travelling and we always look forward to coming to Praia Del Rey knowing that we have such a great Villa to come too. Jack and his team are great to deal with and have always helped us with anything we have needed during our visits. Danielle"
