SECLUDED LAKEFRONT CEDAR HOME NESTLED IN NATURE

Mullett Lake House Rental Photos and Description

Lakefront

Newer, secluded Grandview Beach lakefront home with breathtaking views from lakeside and riverside decks. Mullett Lake is a premier northern Michigan lake with crystal clear water known for great fishing, boating, and all water sports. Our cedar home is located on the Inland Waterway near the mouth of the Indian River. Enjoy the sandy, hard packed bottom when you take a swim from the end of the cedar dock.

Our home has 3 bedrooms, two full baths, large kitchen with a spacious dining area, comfortable living room and laundry room. This year round home is perfect for a single family’s vacation.

PLACES TO GO AND THINGS TO DO AWAY FROM THE BEACH

We are located between the towns of Indian River and Topinabee and you’ll have easy access to I-75. It is only a 30-40 minute drive to great shopping, excellent dining, and many attractions in Harbor Springs, Petoskey, Mackinac, Gaylord and Cheboygan, not to forget Indian River and Topinabee.

Topinabee

It is a 10 minute drive north to this little town where there is a handy convenience store, Topinabee Market. The Breakers Bar is family friendly with an extensive menu, outdoor dining, and a dock. Cafe Noka serves home cooked breakfast and lunch. Save room for desert!

Indian River

Vivios is a casual family favorite restaurant serving delicious Italian food. If you have a sweet tooth be sure to visit Drost Chocolates. Treat yourself to ice cream and candy made on site. The famous Cross in the Woods with the largest crucifix in the world is found in this small northern Mi. town! Be sure to visit the Chillermania World Headquarters for Johnathan Rand Books.

Cheboygan

Cheboygan is located on the shores of Lake Huron and the Cheboygan River. WalMart, Dunhams, Dollar Tree, and the like can be found here. Take in a movie at the Kingston Theater. If you would like to treat yourself to fine dining try the Hack-Ma-Tac Inn on the water.

Mackinac City and Mackinac Island

Head north on I 75 where there is so much to do like a ferry ride to the Island or visit the historic fort in Mackinac City. Don't forget to try the fudge!

Year Round

Take the groomed trail off the the beach road to hike, bike, snowshoe, cross country ski and snowmobile north towards Cheboygan or south towards Gaylord.

Autumn

Take in the fall colors by driving M-119 through the “Tunnel of Trees” north of Harbor Springs. Stop at the Good Hart General Store to take home the whitefish pate’, their famous chicken pot pie and yummy baked goods. Then be sure to continue north to the historic Legs Inn in Cross Village for dinner.

Winter

Ski Nubs Nob or Boyne Highlands in Harbor Springs or Treetops in Gaylord.

Well worth the investment. Very clean and easy to reach. Views are outstanding. Lake very clean and easily accessible. Suggest bringing an insect fogger (if allowed) and Deep Woods Off. Plenty of wildlife. A bonus trail down the point that our dog loved. We would love to return. Indian River, Cheboygan, Mackinac City and Mackinac Island are all very close. Would definitely recommend and would definitely return.

Great cottage with clean, comfy beds, quiet street, terrific lake view, nice atmosphere! You really don't have to go anywhere once you're there. There's the clear lake, dock, BBQ, movies to watch and lots of charm.

Great time and great location

We had a great time at this perfectly located cottage near the mouth of the Indian River on Mullett Lake. The cottage was very well equipped and comfortable. There were two families of 5 each and we had plenty of room. The location is right near the Indian River entrance and just down from a popular boaters beach. Kathy and Tom were great to work with and the kids especially liked the jar of chocolates set out on the counter when we arrived. Our only concern was the zebra mussels which can be hard on the feet, but nothing some cheap watershoes couldn't fix. Overall an excellent week in a very nice cottage.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your review! Yes Zebra mussels have become a problem in all inland lakes, thank goodness for the swimming shoes.
