20 bed chateau with huge pool, sports hall, jacuzzi, golf course - property manager available 24 hours a day.
We are an English family with 3 small children. We continue to live in England but spend as much time in France as possible.
This property is ideal for a family and it is large enough to allow families and friends to holiday together. The pool is lovely and big and the 50 acres surrounding the chateau afford absolute privacy. There is a large sports hall with a gym, a badminton court, bikes, table football etc and a rough golf course so there is plenty for children of all ages to enjoy. We have put in a small play area just by the pool so the children can climb and swim and play in the sandpit while the adults relax on the terrace just next to them. The villages close by are like stepping back in time and the surrounding countryside and vineyards are stunning.
The views from the property continue for miles which is wonderfully relaxing. The nearby Lot Valley is a wonderful area of France to explore often without a soul nearby and the river is a hive of French activity with a little beach and children leaping off incredibly high cliffs into the water! Eric our property manager is very experienced and lives locally. He will welcome you and visit daily and be on 24 hour call should you need him. Even if you do not speak a word of French you will be able to relax in your own haven knowing that Eric is there should you need anything. Needless to say there is of course internet access! There is also a fully stocked wine cellar for you to help yourselves from and Eric can arrange wine tastings either at home or at the local vineyards.
The Chateau itself is based in its own peaceful private 50 acres teeming with wildlife and great for bird watching but the nearby village of Sauzet and town of Luzech are beautiful and typically traditional French. The local area is famous for its vineyards and has the wonderful river which runs through the Lot Valley and also enables many water activities including boating and swimming. The mountains enable great hiking, biking and climbing opportunities.
