Carmel Valley Cottage Rental Photos and Description
2 Bedroom, 1 Bathroom 4 Sleeps Gorgeous Mountain Views
We are now taking reservations for longer stays (30 days or longer, e.g.)
Rest your mind and spirit as you take in the stunning panoramic views of the Santa Lucia mountains. Wake up nestled among oaks and pines in an elegant and quiet Carmel Valley neighborhood, just minutes to Carmel Valley Village's fine restaurants, many wine tasting rooms and the beautiful hikes and trails in Garland Ranch Regional Park.
The sunny retreat is free of the coastal fog, yet it's an easy and beautiful drive to all the attractions in Monterey, Carmel, Pebble Beach and Pacific Grove, including our white pristine beaches, the Monterey Bay Aquarium, world class golf, and Carmel-by-the-Sea's many shops.
Upon your arrival you will find a complimentary treat from a local spot such as Carmel Valley’s own Earthbound Farm Stand. Area information and maps are available to reference. Additionally, two passes to the world famous Monterey Bay Aquarium are at your disposal.
This Mission Style home features a vaulted wood beamed ceiling, terracotta tile, and an open floor plan comprising the living, dining and kitchen areas.
We have turned the fireplace room into a romantic bedroom, with a very comfortable queen bed (PLEASE NOTE this room has an opening to the main living area, with an optional screen for some privacy). Here you can relax with a good book and get comfy in front of the wood burning fireplace. The small second bedroom has a trundle bed that is normally set up to be two twin beds.
There are several outdoor areas where you can relax into serenity: a hammock space, outdoor chaise lounge chairs and adirondack chairs on the back patio, and an outdoor claw foot bath with stunning views.
The Casita Lucia is a special, unique and very lovely setting for a romantic getaway, a retreat for a small family, or a few close friends. The owners live a few miles up the road and are available to assist you at any time. Enjoy true privacy and peace.

Ruth and Steve
We have been Carmel Valley residents for over 25 years. Transplanted East coasters, Ruth from New York City, and Steve from Ottawa, Canada, we are grateful each day for the beauty, tranquility--and the weather of Carmel Valley! We really enjoy being able to introduce others to the area and to this property. We live a few miles down the road (not right next door like most cottages) and are happy to assist you with anything that you need. Our daughter also enjoys helping out too. Looking forward to hearing from you and we hope you enjoy your stay.
We have designed this property as place to get away to experience true relaxation...something that seems to elude a lot of us in the modern day. You can lie on the double hammock and listen to the sounds of nature, or soak in the clawfoot tub, at night the stargazing is dreamy. There is wifi and Cable TV if you need it, but there is also simplicity of a gentle breeze, natural beauty and privacy.
More about CARMEL VALLEY: Considered one of the most beautiful destinations, the drive itself along Carmel Valley Road is meditative and calming. Increasingly referred to as 'Little Napa' (yet more quaint and without the traffic), Carmel Valley Village is home to over a dozen wine tasting rooms and vineyards, as well as wonderful restaurants with fine dining. It also boasts world class golf courses and spas (Bernardus Lodge, Carmel Valley Ranch Resort, Quail Lodge and the new, The Refuge). Strollers through this quaint town can enjoy it’s antique shopping, and walkers, hikers and horseback riders love the trails and vistas at Garland Regional Park).
This cottage is a few minutes from Carmel Valley Village. Driving on beautiful Carmel Valley Road it's a 14 to 20 mile drive to get to Carmel and all the attractions in Monterey.
After day trips and adventures (or just staying close to home), the Casita is a tranquil retreat in a quiet area (we ask our guests please no outside parties or loud fiestas after 10pm).
You can see the vineyards on your way to one of the Valley's terrific restaurants: try Cafe Rustica, Corkscrew, Wils Fargo, Taste, or Wild Goose for freshly brewed coffee and baked treats. Or stay home and prepare a great dinner at the Casita while taking in the gorgeous views.
