This was our sixth visit to Bear Lake and once again, we had a fabulous time. We were joined by another family so we needed a larger home for this visit. The home was well equipped with everything we needed - the kids loved the downstairs media/playroom area! And we were able to bring our beloved Golden Retriever as well!
We enjoyed all of the activities that Bear Lake has to offer - the Lake Club, jet skis, the streams and lakes along with roasting hot dogs and s'mores at the amphitheater. And of course, a day of shopping in Cashiers. Looking forward to next year!
We were impresed on how beautiful the cabin was. We were a family of 8 adults and 4 children plus a dog. Plenty of room for all of us. The cabin has everything you need.
The best experience ever, we are planing on going back next year. Totaly recommend it.
Our family of 8, which included 3 teenagers and one young child, stayed four nights/five days in Bear Lake Reserve; the home we rented accommodated us very well. We hiked, used the club house pool, canoed on the lake, and dined in the club house. There was something for everyone. In the evening we grilled and discussed our day. Even our 9-month old puppy seemed to love the mountains. It was a totally bonding experience in an exceptionally beautiful part of our country.
Our family needed a place to stay for WCU graduation and this cabin was a great choice. It's a beautiful home that had everything we needed for our stay. Bear Lake reserve is a quiet mountain retreat with a great golf course on the top of the mountain. We would recommend renting this cabin if you are in the area.
We had a BLAST! What a great cabin and neighborhood with lots to do! 6 adults and 6 kids had plenty of space to relax, play and hang out in this mountain view cabin. The basement was a great place for the kids to perform shows, sleep and play. The cabin was fully stocked with everything you need to eat like a king, (even a crock pot)
Bear Lake has so many options to keep families busy enjoying the outdoors......swimming pool (over looking the lake), many hiking trails, creeks, waterfalls, lake with different rental options, golf, rocks to climb on, fishing ponds, and most of all the beauty of the mountains! A great place for families or couples!
Our family will defiantly be back!
The times I was at the Mountain View Lodge at Bear Lake I had a very enjoyable time. The cottage has plenty of space for adults and a lower level space for children. Great upper deck to relax after a game of golf, swimming, or hiking a trail near the cottage. Get a gorgeous view of the stars at night before turning in for the evening.
