Ideally situated for visiting the Snowdonia National Park, The golden beaches of the LLeyn Penisula, Isle of Anglesey, Castles, Historic houses and superb scenery which are all on your doorstep. Glan Gwna offers all the amenities you may require during your stay. These include a large heated outdoor swimming pool (seasonal), launderette, beauty salon, gym, shop, takeaway, on site fishing (small fee), family poolside bar serving drinks and food, games room and play area for the children, adult only bar and a family club with weekly discos and entertainment (seasonal). The Chalet is run on mains electric and paid for on a metre which takes £5 cards(these can be purchased on Site or at the Texaco Filling Station in Caernarfon) and is located in the corner of the living room. The electric heats the hot water tank, shower and all heaters in the property.

Overall we thought the chalet was ok. It has been furnished to a high standard but have several problems that needed addressing.
We were unable to use the wardrobes in the main bedroom.There is a very big damp problem in there and the smell we found was at times very overpowering, we went to sleep with a smell of damp and woke up with the smell too. The walls in the wardrobe have mould which is obviously a health hazard. The heaters were left on during the day to try and warm the chalet up but we found it was difficult to get the chalet warm at all.
The lounge and kitchen were both clean which was lovely for us and the childs bedroom was great for my daughter although we found it was very very cold and struggled to heat it even with the heater on. The front door to the porch also doesn't close and there is a draught that comes through it.
The cleanliness of the bathroom however on arrival was not good as the floors hadn't been cleaned from the previous users. There was also mould on the blinds in the bathroom.
In the description it says it overlooks the lake, we were hoping we could see the lake from the chalet but unfortunately this was not quite a truthful description, as there are several rows of chalets in the way and the lake can't actually be seen from the chalet.
I did email the owner on our return but was disappointed with the response. I had hoped for some sort of partial refund.
Owner's Response: Unfortunately it was a cold weekend when this person stayed in the chalet and although there are heaters provided in every room of the chalet and additional blankets in the wardrobes in the second bedroom this holiday maker didn't manage to feel warm. With regard to the wardrobe in the main bedroom this has been looked at and the problem has been resolved. I do my best to equip the chalet for all occasions and regularly check the heaters are working properly for such times as out of season holiday makers who will require to use them.

Great holiday! (Add on)

In addition to the review already submitted, i just wanted to add a little more (when i read what i had written, i realised i had missed some things!).

We had a fabulous weekend and enjoyed it very much. The chalet had everything we needed and was clean, neat and tidy with some fantastic views across the camp. The owner had even made sure there was toilet roll and washing up liquid!!

There were activites arranged all weekend, including evening entertainment as well as daytime activites, such as a family Easter Egg hunt (which we took part in). We have a 5 year old and he really enjoyed the weekend as well.

I would definitely recommend this chalet as a lovely enjoyable stay and will be re-visiting in the future! :)

(Also, i wanted to choose 5 stars last time, but obviosuly didn't do it quite right!!) :D
Owner's Response: The site my chalet is on is run privately and therefore has families in mind when choosing amenities on the site and events which take place. The events mentioned in this review were orientated around the Easter Weekend, however live entertainment and events feature throughout the summer season every year, also during Christmas and the New Year Holidays. I try to make my chalet feel like it's a home from home place to stay and try and equippe it for everyone's needs wherever possible.

Great holiday!

This is a lovely chalet on a really beautiful camp. It smelled a little of damp when we first got there, but this soon disappeared once we warmed the chalet up a bit! It is at the top of a hill, so i wouldn't recommend for anyone unsteady or elderly (unless in a car) - it kept us fit for the weekend! The chalet was ample for what we needed for the weekend.

The camp itself is quite beatiful and the grounds offer a lovely walk in well kept surroundings. The amenitites could do with a little updating, but as we went out for most of the day, this was not a major issue.

The owner is extremely accommodating and does her utmost to fulfil any request you may have.

All in all, we would recommend this chalet as an ideal base from which to enjoy a nice relaxing holiday.
