Unrivaled location. Couldn't be closer to the beach, amenities, town life, Diamond Head & Waikiki. What a treat to take an evening stroll across the beach to the Kahala Resort for a drink and pupus.

If you're looking for a local, island experience then you must stay here. Our host was just wonderful and so accommodating even providing a laundry basket when we used the family's washer and dryer. We didn't have to pack nearly as many clothes for this trip! Mahalo for making our stay so perfect!
We are Honolulu natives who returned for a family event in January 2014 and spent 4 days here after spending the first week on the Ala Moana marina. It was a massive relief to stay in this quiet residential neighborhood. This low-key home with its typically lovely local planting is similar to the one in which we grew up: shades of small-kid-time! Walking proximity to the golf course and Waialae Beach park made driving unnecessary. The hosts are graciously available and at the same time mindful of privacy and quiet. We'll be staying here whenever we are in Honolulu.
Great property, offering privacy and convenient location, although a car is necessary. Comfortable and clean and fairly consistent with the description in the listing. Room included a refrigerator, toaster, coffee maker with coffee and tea. Only complaint is that there was no means of heating water, such as an electric kettle or microwave. Other than that, we were very happy with the property and found the owner helpful, friendly, and allowed us privacy in coming and going. Would definitely recommend this property to anyone interested in a quiet location near both city and beaches with easy access to highways.
We stayed here in June for a few days of attending a conference at the University and then several days of family vacation—the unit worked out very well for both purposes! We needed good access to both the campus and to Wikiki where friends were staying, but, although we love Hawaii, we’re no fans of Wikiki. This location was perfect, just a short drive away in a very attractive residential neighbourhood and a short walk to a nice local beach park. The house is an attractive classic Hawaii bungalow. The room is not fancy or large, but served our purposes nicely. Katrina was a great hostess. It had the feeling of being welcome guests in a nice Hawaiian home. Good choice for a single or couple who like to explore the island by car, but would rather avoid Wikiki.
I just got back from Hawaii where I spent 12 days on my honeymoon. We were looking for a quiet place with an easy access to the beach. And it was exactly what we were looking for. Great for having a nice afternoon on a small beach and even having a walk by night.
The house is very close to Kahala mall where we found great food and many organic stuff. Katrina, the owner, was so available for us and we thank you for that and for your precious advice. She knows the island so well that I didn't need to google anything, just popped up every time I needed anything. Her door is literally always open.
The suite was really nice and so nicely furnished. We wanted something simple. The bed was sooo comfortable (which is very important when you come to have a good rest after a year without vacation). I had more than I expected.

Kahala B&B will be an good option for those who look for quietness but at times seek for some tourist excitement at Waikiki (as it's very close-10mins drive). The host Katrina had been very helpful on making our stay as comfortable as possible. Nice location to the Kahala beach park and Kahala Mall, safe neighborhood, and also quiet at night. The room has fans around but without A/C, may heat up in the middle of the day during summers but if you are coming for vacation and leave early and come back in the evening, not a big deal as the temperature drops when sun goes down. In general a great stay and vacation with my wife and kid. We enjoyed a lot on the hospitality; the banana cake and fruits that the host prepared on the first day of arrival were wonderful.
This location can not be beat! A 3 minutes stroll to the beach park and 2 minutes by car to Kahala Mall (a 10 minute walk) for restaurants, movies, Whole Foods, Macy's and Barnes and Noble. The Kahala Resort is around the corner for an open air drink. Waialae Golf Course is located behind the house.
Waikiki is very close by and Diamond Head is a good target for a run. Pick up a take-away meal & a bottle of wine to enjoy on the lawn under the ulu tree in your private lanai area.
