The beautiful Hamlet of Lendalfoot is located at the foot of the river Lendal. The Property has unspoilt coastal views of The Ailsa Craig, Arran and Kintyre. There is a private slipway onto the beach. The Russian Maritime Memorial is just a short stroll along the beach. The picturesque harbour village of Girvan is 7 miles along the coast road. World famous Turnberry golf course is only a short drive away. Further along the coast is Culzean Castle which can be approached from the road or from a walk along Croy Shore (where you can often enjoy the entire walk without seeing another soul along the way and just enjoy the peace and solitude. I have done this many times and would definately recommend it). If you drive further along the coast you can experience the magic of the famous Electric Brae, then onto the tiny harbour village of Dunure (used as a film location for episodes of the tv series Taggart) with stunning views, scenery and castle ruins. Ayr is your next major attraction.

AMAZING

We have just returned from a happy Christmas and New year at this wonderful property. My wife, daughter, son in law, new baby grandson (3 months old) and myself have really enjoyed the festive period spent at this delightful place. We really felt at home and have collected some memories we will cherish forever. The climate was so mild for this time of year and what a beautiful unspoilt coastline. The views were out of this world!. The Log Cabin was spacious, well equiped and warm. The owners are really friendly and accomodating, nothing was too much trouble. Looking forward to returning and exploring the caves of the legendary Sawney Bean and a boat trip to Ailsa Craig. I would highly recommend The Log Cabin and Lendalfoot, there is only one word to describe it AMAZING!
Owner's Response: Really pleased you enjoyed your stay in Lendalfoot, and are planning a return. Thank you for taking the time to write a review and your kind words, they mean so much to us. I will make sure I remember to tell future guests about Sawney Bean and the caves where he lived along the beach, I have also printed out some literature about the legend of Sawney Bean and put it in the welcome folder. You will always be sure of a warm welcome when you return.

THE LOG CABIN LENDALFOOT

Stunning location, excellent first class accomodation, the owners were really friendly and seem to have thought of everything, the welcome basket etc on arrival was unexpected and so nice after a long journey, it made us feel really welcome and at home.
The views from the property surpassed all expectations, the Ailsa Craig is right in front of you and looks amazing in silhouette against the stunning sunsets, we had brilliant weather and a sunset every evening we were there, they were truly unforgettable, I have never taken so many photographs!.
We enjoyed eating and drinking at the bistro tables on the verandah enjoying the sight & sound of the sea, the oyster catchers and the seals, also sitting on the beach in the evening watching the sun go down was an experience we will never forget.
There are plenty of information leaflets on places to visit in the property. Among many of our travels we visited Croy Shore with it's white sand and unspoilt beach (highly recommended by Ruth) and when you visit you can see why!, the tiny coastal hamlet of Dunure with its castle ruins, and the Electric Brae, where if you pour water on the ground it runs uphill, a very strange experience especially when you turn your car engine off and the car rolls uphill!
I would highly recommend The Log Cabin, the only downside is having to leave which made us really sad and can't wait to return, we have booked a return visit already.

Owner's Response: Really pleased you enjoyed your holiday and took away so many happy memories, thankyou so much for your kind comments in the review and in the guest book they mean so much.
