VACATION APARTMENT IN CINQUE TERRE WITH TERRACE AND SEA VIEW

A lovely, comfy but tiny apartment, which was well equipped and had been renovated fairly recently. The roof terrace was great, with lovely views. We had a perfect week because we were a couple who could handle the steep spiral staircase up to the bedroom and roof terrace. We ate every meal on the roof in gorgeous sunshine, but it would have been less pleasant had bad weather forced us into the downstairs, dark and tiny sitting room. There was parking on the road outside, but this was at times very busy which could be an issue.
The owner was lovely and very helfpful.
There was a fantastic restaurant in Groppo, but nothing else, so we relied on the regular bus service up from Manorolo (having made the pleasant 20 minute downhill walk down to the town) to bring shopping back up. All the coastal villages are linked by ferries and by a train line, so having got a parking space first night we never used the car again (again parking in Manorolo was difficult and expensive so best rely on public transport). We would definately recommend this apartment to friends, but bearing in mind the caveats above.
