Boston House Boat Rental Photos and Description
Fully Furnished Houseboat For A Perfect Self Catering Holiday!
Experience Boston from the unique perspective of your own floating house! Nestled in a protected marina in Boston Harbor, our houseboat is fully equipped with all the comforts and amenities of home!
The boat has baseboard heat and is completely insulated. It is toasty on the most inclement day. Imagine tucking into bed, watching the snow blanket the marina, while the water rocks you to sleep.
The docks, parking lot and entire premises are kept free and clear of snow at all times by a full time crew. You will never have to sacrifice comfort or safety to have an enjoyable time.
There is a master stateroom with a queen bed, two twin beds in a sleeping loft and a queen sized sofa bed for the living room. Additionally there is a full kitchen with a cook top, toaster, microwave and full sized refrigerator. We also have all the needed cups, plates, mugs and cutlery you will need. Off the kitchen is the bathroom, which is huge by boat standards. it has a full sized stand up shower, head and vanity/sink. These boats have 40 Gallon hot water tanks as well, so no worries about running out hot water after a few showers. We also run on shore power and water, so the water has great pressure and is unlimited (no water tank to refill)
We provide all linens and towels so there is no need to worry about laundry. We also provide plus an iron, ironing board, hairdryer, plus bathroom products such as soaps, shampoos, and lotions. We even include a Keurig coffee maker with a variety of coffee pods for your enjoyment. This houseboat is fully air-conditioned and heated for your comfort in any season. All this for less than the price of the smallest rooms at any of the nearby downtown waterfront hotels!
Located in a very secure and gated marina, our houseboat is just minutes away from downtown Bostons` most popular attractions; Fanueil Hall/Quincy Market, the North End, the New England Aquarium, the Childrenïs` Museum and the Boston Convention Center. Our convenient location makes it easy for you reach points of interest along the waterfront, via water taxi included in rental price. Go ahead and rent or bring your car, this rental has a FREE parking space for it! This is unheard of in Boston!
This houseboat is located in the up and coming East Boston Neighborhood of Boston. It is minutes away from the airport, and dozens of great restaurants and shops. There is a grocery store less than a half mile away, and a convenience store on the corner. As mentioned above, we offer a FREE water taxi service to all of the guests of our boats (normally $15pp each way) into Rowes Wharf in Downtown Boston. This quick 10 minute ride puts you right in the center of all there is to do in Boston. This stop drops you at the Aquarium, Fanueil Hall/Quincy Market and the North End.
Our location in the actual working port of Boston affords our guests the unique perspective of the historic Boston Shipping Trade in action. Watch the drawbridge open from your roof deck as barges and tugboats pass by, supplying Boston and the Northeast with the needed commodities for commerce!
This unique location is becoming a hub for working professionals. You may never want to head into Downtown during your stay. If you are able to pull yourself away, the multiple transportation options for getting into the city make it a cinch!
The boat is in a protected part of the marina, but there can be some occasional movement during the day when boats pass by. At night the waters are very calm and some guests even find that a bit of gentle swaying relaxes them and makes for a very restful sleep. The houseboat is berthed on a brand new floating 5 foot wide wooden dock, so its just one step up onto the boat's deck at any tide. The docks are lighted and very stable The dock is connected to the parking lot by a long ramp with handrails; this ramp can be a bit steep at maximum low tide (twice a day), but there are built in treads for climbing. The ramp can be difficult at the lowest tidal points for folks with difficulty walking. The good part is that the tide does go in and out, so the majority of the time it is at a 30 degree angle or less. Its a safe first nautical experience for people of all ages who have never been on a boat before.
After a long day of touring the city there is nothing better than being dropped off at your boat by the water taxi, stepping onto the deck and relaxing on your own private sun deck with a cold drink in hand, listening to the soothing sounds of the ocean as you enjoy the views, sights and sounds of Boston Harbor!

Ryan purchased this house boat in 2012
Why Ryan chose Boston
These houseboats are a great way to enjoy being on the water without giving up conveniences of typical shore based lodging. With direct water and power this boat functions exactly like your home, but with a gentle rocking that reminds you that you are experiencing something truly unique.
What makes this house boat unique
With free parking, WiFi and water taxi service into downtown you can experience Boston as a local, yet retire to your own roof deck at the end of a long day exploring and enjoy the solitude and relaxation only a boat can provide!
Guestbook comments from the manager
Great experience, the place to stay that made the trip even more memorable! Everything was as described and Ryan was very accommodating with check in/out times. Hope to make it back one day!
What Nathan loved about your listing:
Being on the water and privacy/layout of the boat. Oh and of course the Water Taxi! I was told to call in advance 2 hours prior to departing time, upon checking in so kind of wrote off using the service. Fortunately remembered to give it a try on the next to last day. The taxi was waiting at the dock in less than 30 mins and regretted not using it the entire trip.
