The house has stunning grounds and surroundings of 11 acres in total. A perfect retreat for a family break or a romantic getaway this house really allows you to forget the hustle and bustle of every day life. Once visited you will fall in love with the magic and romance of Normandy and how better to end your day by coming back to a peaceful beautiful house where you can enjoy uninterrupted views as well as uninterrupted sleep!

A REALLY GREAT PLACE TO STAY !

We had a fantastic one week stay in this beautifully renovated farmhouse in early August with our family of eleven including our grand kids – they all loved it! It is a bright and cheerful large home in a quiet countryside/ farm setting re-done with first class materials and furnishings, as advertised. The modern kitchen was large, well equipped and the large dining room table would seat us all. The nearby village of Villers Bocage has two large super markets and a choice of bakeries.

The house is large enough so each person can retreat to their own space and not feel cramped together. The bathrooms and showers were super as was the in-house washing machine.

Great location for touring with your rental car to the WWII beaches, Mont Ste Michel, Caen etc.. All in all, we enjoyed our stay immensely and would give la Caillerie a five star rating. Enjoy!

All the Normandy beaches are within a 30 minute drive, Omaha etc.. The historic town of Bayeux is 20 minutes away as well as many other famous battlefields and war cemetries. Supermarkets and all other amenities are a 7 minute drive away. Mont St Michel is a 40 minute drive. Caen is 30 minute drive this is the largest town and has all the shops you would require, Fashion/Food etc.. as well as a main ferry port and large train station giving you access to Paris in 1hr 30 minutes. The nearest airport with access to the UK is Dinard which is a 40 minute drive. There are a multitude of quality golf courses in this area the closest being Clecy and Vire Lake Dahtee, a handicap is NOT required to play freely, you also very rarely have to book. Just five minutes from the property is a large well stocked lake ideal for the fisherman, here you can eat as well as take a boat ride.
