Lanesboro Estate Rental Photos and Description
Six bedrooms with private baths comfortably furnished.
This all season 6 bedroom rental is located at the northeast corner of the lake on U.S. Route 7, just north of Pittsfield in The Berkshires of Western Massachusetts. See various photos of the lake posted on Google Earth.
The lake has a free boat launching area. Try your luck fishing for varieties of Trout, Bass, Chain Pickerel and Northern Pike; Yellow and White Perch, Bullhead and outsized Carp. Pontoosuc currently holds the state record for Tiger Muskellunge, at 18 lbs. 3 oz. Or rent a Jet Ski, canoe, or sail boat to better take advantage of the lake during your stay, April through October. In winter if you like ice fishing, set out your tip-ups and then watch them from the west-facing windows. Or drive onto the ice, as is common when conditions allow. Cross-country ski or snowshoe at your leisure.
Attractions below are listed in the order of their proximity your rental unit.
Walk to “Pitch and putt,” miniature golf and driving range. For a fresh seafood meal or a burger, walk a little farther to Matt Reilly’s Pub and enjoy fried belly clams, a great burger, and all legal beverages, Lanesborough Restaurant and Pizzeria, Donut Man, and Simon’s Market with deli items and package store.
Drive less than five miles: East to The Berkshire Mall (Macy’s, Best Buy, Target) and see the brand new, soon to open Berkshire Carousel; head South to Zucchini’s fine Italian and American dining and banquet facility; or North to The Olde Forge Tavern for a sumptuous burger and a wide variety of beers including those brewed locally.
Only ten minutes south brings you to Cultural Pittsfield’s resurgent Arts and Entertainment district anchored by the Gilded Age, meticulously restored Colonial Theater where you might catch James Taylor who resides nearby in the town of Washington.
Visit any number of attractions for both the visual and performing arts including the Lichtenstein Center, the Barrington Stage Company, the Berkshire Museum, or the Beacon Cinema. From April to October enjoy the free downtown festival 'Third Thursdays,' which features live entertainment, artists, vendors, and activities for all ages.
Twenty minutes to the north, discover historic Williamstown, Williams College and its ultra-modern ’62 Center for the performing arts; the Sterling and Francine Clarke Art Institute; the nationally renowned Williamstown Theater Festival; the elegant Williams Inn with its fine dining, rich history, and weekend jazz. Continue east, a short drive along Rte. 2 to North Adams to find “Mass MoCA,” Museum of Contemporary Art.
Of course, in addition to ski areas, it’s a short ride to Tanglewood or to Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival.
Or just put your feet up and hang out on the front deck or in the comfortable surroundings of your rental unit as you watch the flora and fauna of every season.

About Eric Taylor
My name is Eric Taylor. I was born and raised in Pittsfield. I currently reside in the town of Peru with my wife Jen and our four children. I'm the owner and president of Restorations Inc., which my late father began in 1970. I have several other properties that I own and have developed here in the Berkshires. Among the most recent is the Mountain One Financial Center built on the site of the former General Electric headquarters. Our business has grown steadily by word of mouth and has enjoyed immense good will due to the quality of our work and the dedication of our staff. We've always been competitive with our prices. I'm always looking toward diversifying my properties. After all, even though my eldest boy is just starting high school, all four will eventually hit college age.

Why Eric Taylor chose Lanesboro
This property is my first venture into an all season rental. My family and I look forward to staying at the unit when we want to vacation close to home. The kids will enjoy the lake and all the choices for recreation it affords.
What makes this estate unique
I plan to make sure the property is well maintained, and I have submitted plans for modest improvements that have been approved by the local zoning board. Perhaps this will turn out to me one of my more successful and useful investments. Anyway, it's great fun meeting new people as they come to enjoy the place.
