Guanajuato Apartment Rental Photos and Description
1 bedroom apartment with terrace and a great view
The apartment offers the best of modern comfort combined with charming Mexican touches like colorful tile work. It gives you proximity to town (a 10-15 minute walk), yet offers the peace and quiet of the suburbs, in a real, upscale Mexican neighborhood, away from the tourist crowds. And while it’s easy walking distance to all Guanajuato’s attractions, the property also offers onsite, secure parking in a gated area if you choose to bring a car.
Description of kitchen:
The modern kitchen is fully furnished, with a large refrigerator, a six-burner stove (there’s a grill over the two middle burners), built-in racks for wine glasses and wine, and vital appliances like a coffee maker, blender, and toaster. A handy built-in dish rack directly over the sink keeps your counter space clear, so there’s plenty of room for preparing meals—and plenty of cupboards for storage. Dishes, utensils, and food-storage containers are all here—just bring in your groceries and get to it.
Description of dining room:
This small house has a kitchen/dining area, with a dining table that seats four comfortably. A nearby sideboard holds dishes, glasses, place mats and coasters. If you’d prefer not to serve from the table (too many plates and glasses taking up room?), a tiled shelf that extends from the kitchen is just arms’-reach away.
Description of terrace:
This house, which hugs one of Guanajuato’s hillsides, has a railed, tiled terrace offering panoramic views of the surrounding hills and houses. There is a deck table and four chairs on the terrace, so you and friends can enjoy a morning coffee or an evening drink while taking in the view. If the weather gets chilly, no worries: You can still enjoy the terrace view from inside the house. The living room and the bedroom—the two rooms that give onto the terrace—have floor-to-ceiling glass walls.

Why Gerardo Araujo chose Guanajuato
This bijoux hillside house is just a 10-15 minutes’ walk from the Teatro Juárez, the heart of the action in Guanajuato’s historic center. Yet it feels a world away—tranquil, quiet, and with every modern comfort. The outdoor terrace, which looks out on Guanajuato hillsides, is the perfect place to relax and watch the sunset after a long day in town. (Since there’s a table and deck chairs, you can even invite friends for an al fresco dinner.)
Inside, the one-bedroom house is fully furnished, including WiFi, cable TV (there’s a 32-inch flatscreen TV in the bedroom) and a full-size washer and dryer in the separate utility room. If you have a car, no worries: there is secure, gated parking in front of the house.
If you want to be close to Guanajuato’s action but also have a quiet, cozy place to decompress, work, study—or just sleep peacefully at night—then this house is for you.
