Perched amidst the historical Great Kuakini Wall, this home offers you a connection to the past with the comforts of modern island living. This home can be yours; divided by an upstairs living area and a fully self contained downstairs living area. Perfect for extended families and friends. The upstairs is a cool serene escape with a wrap around lanai that invites you to spectacular sunsets while enjoying your cocktails. At night, dining is truly an enchanting experience as you overlook your own private tropical oasis. There are three bedrooms. The master bedroom has a king sized bed, full bathroom and flat screen TV. When you awake each morning, your own private sitting area on the lanai invites you to the first day's coffee. There are two other bedrooms each with twin beds (that can be converted to king beds), and a second full bathroom. On warmer nights, ceiling fans throughout the home provide a cool environment as do the many windows that invite in the trade winds. The kitchen is superbly stocked with all your dining and cooking needs. Enjoy a spacious living room for entertainment or relaxing. The downstairs living area is perfect for your extended family. A lovely living room invites your eyes out to your garden retreat and patio and a full kitchen provides all you need to cook and dine in. Spend quiet evenings on your garden patio. There is one bedroom with a queen bed and a full bathroom.
For all guests, after your 'Iron Man' day of activities, enjoy a soak in the luxurious pristine jacuzzi under a private tropical gazebo. Enjoy your island catch or Kawaihae steak grilling to perfection on a traditional lava rock barbecue. The entire home is WiFi enabled and readily can keep you in touch with the rest of the world while on vacation. A washer and dryer helps you keep up with your laundry needs. All the comforts of home await you!
We have finally been able to keep 'one foot in the sand' after many years of living abroad and on the Mainland.

We have been coming back to Kona for years to reconnect with family, our culture and cultural sites, and to enjoy the diverse landscape of the island. While we love the forests of Panaewa on the Hilo side, the picturesque waterfalls of the Hamakua Coast, sleepy Waimea Town, the cliffs of Waipio Valley, historical Hawi, restful and new Waikoloa, all roads have lead back to Kona. In many ways it has changed a lot...and then in other ways...not at all.
This home is great for family get togethers...because of the surroundings and proximity to so many attractions, there is a lot to do with many choices that will appease everyone.
La'aloa Plantation House is located right off of Ali'i Drive and a short six minute walk to famous White Sands Beach Park. A twenty minute walk or 3 minute drive south is Kahalu'u Beach Park notable for superb surfing and snorkeling. Excellent for families. leisure activities/tours, dining, and shopping all within a five minute drive. The home is a mecca unto itself with lush Hawaiian flora and fauna.
