Our apartment is located on a small beautifully arranged green island, directly behind the sandy shores of St. Petersburg beach, on the gulf coast of Florida. The apartment is completely air conditioned and has 1 living room with sea view and with coach bed for 2 people, 1 bedroom (with sea view) with double bed, 1 open, fully equipped kitchen, 1 bathroom, 1 extra guests’ WC, and 1 big balcony (with direct sea view). A large, heated swimming pool with whirlpool also belongs to the apartment. Enjoy the unique view of the sunrise from the rooms and from the balcony. In the close vicinity you can find the famous Natural Park Ft. de Soto, where you can swim, fish and hike. It can be reached by bike. The large sandy beaches of the gulf coast are also in the close neighbourhood.

The Isla del Sol is a small island with palm trees, and with a large golf course. It is located in the southern part of St. Petersburg, in the close vicinity of the famous beaches of St. Petersburg. In spite of its quiet location, you can still find all the entertainment and shopping facilities specific to a city. The island is an ideal starting point for trips to the numerous tourist attractions of Florida, such as: Fort de Soto Park, Busch Gardens, Dali Museum, Clearwater, Tarpon Springs, Sunken Gardens, Suncoast Seabird Sanctuary, Adventure Island. You can also choose some further destinations, such as: Disney World (2 hours), Kennedy Space Center (3 hours), Everglades (2 hours) and Miami (4 hours).

Ruhige Wohnung mit schönem Blick

Lage und Ausstattung der Wohnung sind gut und stimmen mit der Beschreibung überein. Der Einrichtungsstil ist zum Teil etwas kitschig. Super rückenfreundlich ist das große Bett, und die beiden Badezimmer sind auch angenehm. Beim Frühstück auf dem Balkon hat man wirklich einen tollen Meerblick und kann sogar Delfine und, wenn man großes Glück hat, auch Manatees sehen. Insgesamt gesehen ist die Wohnung sehr sauber und gepflegt. Nicht zu empfehlen sind die beiden Fahrräder, die zu klein und unbequem sind. Bereits nach kürzesten Strecken schmerzt nicht nur der Rücken. Ein Mietwagen ist Pflicht. Damit erreicht man in 10 Minuten den Fort De Soto North Beach, 2005 bester Strand der USA. Für uns der mit Abstand schönste Strand in der Gegend! Abends geht es dann nach Pass-A-Grille, dem südlichsten Zipfel von St. Pete Beach, zum Hurricane, Brass Monkey oder Wharf, wo es lecker Fisch und Cocktails gibt. Am Strand kann man dann in einer schönen Dünenlandschaft die traumhaften Sonnenuntergänge genießen und herrlich wandern. In St. Pete Beach ist Crabby Bill's zu empfehlen, ein rustikales Fischrestaurant direkt am Strand und ein guter Thailänder im Publix-Einkaufszentrum. Abschließend ist die Wohnung wirklich für einen entspannten Urlaub mit viel Faulenzen und etwas Sightseeing zu empfehlen. Für eine Erkundung großer Teile Floridas sollten ggf. weitere Unterkünfte hinzugebucht werden, da die Entfernungen doch recht groß sind.
