Best location for your visit to San Francisco. Enjoy the convenience of an easy walk to Financial District, Fisherman's Wharf, Chinatown, Union Square, the theater District, or just simply take the Cable Car.
This is the ideal place to have the quintessential experience of living like a local in San Francisco. Have a nice cup of coffee in the morning with the Cable Car bell sound outside your window. Explore the many famous sites around the city, then come home to a quiet evening. The use of 2 transit cards are included to make exploring the city easier.
The apartment has been recently renovated to luxury standard with new kitchen, bathroom; Granite kitchen counter, hardwood floor through out.
The apartment is located on the 3rd floor of a 4 story building. It is quiet and conveniently located. You will have a great night of sleep on the queen sized beds with 800 thread count sheets.
The living room is furnished with comfortable leather sofa, that can be pull out to a queen size bed, as well as a 50' flat screen.
The dining area is furnished with a table for 4.
The kitchen is stocked with cooking pots, pans and utensils, as well as basic spices.
Two full bathrooms with shower.
I love San Francisco. I grew up here. I enjoy taking a bike ride or run, and eating at our great local restaurants.
Mike & Amy purchased this apartment in 1997
It is centrally located. You can walk every where, or take public transit. Our world famous cable car is just right outside of the building.
Union Square, Fisherman's Wharf, Financial District are all within an easy 20 minutes walk, or take the Cable Car.
The apartament is well located, is clean an simple. It has nice sheets and nice appliances.
Is exactly as the pictures on the page. The heat is silence. Mike was very kind the days before my arrival.
I am form Mexico City. I will return again to this place.
I would definitely come back! The apartment looks a lot bigger and nicer in person vs pictures. I was pleasantly surprised with how great of a place this was. Clean, great size, perfect location. The owner was very accessible and accommodating. He was nice enough to leave us 2 cards for public transportation. Apart from my taxi ride to and forth, I used this card the entire time. We would definitely stay here again on our next visit.
The sofa bed turned out to be more comfy than our bedroom mattress. It was great to watch movies.
We spent 10 days in this apartment and would thoroughly recommend it to anyone that is looking for a central location in San Francisco. The apartment is very spacious and well furnished. All electrical appliances are recent and work well. Everything is in good condition and was clean on arrival.
The owner lives in the same building but does not check up on things every 5 minutes.
There are no views from the apartment, windows face onto neighbouring buildings, but his doesn't detract from the good value of the property.
My friend and I enjoyed a week's stay at Mike's apartment. It is clean, comfortable and has all that is needed for a holiday let. We had trouble connecting to Netflix on the TV but Mike came along promptly and spent some time putting it right after which all was well. Having two shower rooms, of a high standard, was excellent (a minor point - a hair dryer in each would be useful).
It didn't affect us as we were out all day and early evening but be aware that there is no view from this apartment as it at the rear of the block. Also, if thinking of having a car in SF I would advise against as parking is virtually impossible on the street. Mike leaves two transit cards anyway and these are very useful (they include the cable car). The location is good for accessing all the top tourist sites. I would definitely recommend this apartment.
My husband and I along with our 2 college age children thoroughly enjoyed this apartment. It was very well located, convenient to cable cars and Muni, clean, updated and quiet.
Don't let the lower level entrance fool you . The owner has totally updated his apartment and you will be pleasantly surprised,
The owner was very helpful and returned our promptly when we had a question about AC. We didn't realize San Francisco apartments don't have AC.
I would strongly recommend this location.
Excellent apartment in excellent location. Property was very clean, recently renovated to high standard, 2 good sized bedrooms, great kitchen. We appreciated having the laundry facilities in the apartment - this meant we could pack much lighter - this was a real bonus. Location was excellent - cable car stop on same block, public transit close by. Easy walking distance to good restaurants in North Beach/ Little Italy and Chinatown. Easy walking to Pier 39, Coit Tower, Embarcadero etc. Felt very safe neighbourhood. Nice view from front entrance of apartment block towards Oakland Bridge. We used the Clipper passes left by Mike and bought two more from the Walgreens on Stockton. Had great fun hopping on and off transit, and seeing a bit more of San Fran life outside of the main tourist routes. Enjoyed seeing Beach Babylon Boulevard at nearby theatre - amusing show, interesting little theatre/ club, very topical sketches, magnificent, outrageous hats!!
If I was being extremely picky, would have liked to have had second night stand in each room and a full length mirror (at least that is what my 2 teenage/ early 20s daughters said). In the stairwell on some days the smell of cooking from other apartments was quite noxious, but we quickly ran up the stairs to our apartment - and once in our apartment, we could no longer smell anything.
Maybe TV service would be great but Netflix is available. We watched the 1978 movie "Escape From Alcatraz" the evening before we visited Alcatraz. This really added to the experience of visiting Alcatraz, we were excited to look for the cells where the prisoners escaped from and we could spot where some of the filming had taken place.
This was our first visit to SF. The city is fabulous, so much to see and do, beautiful location. This apartment added to the overall enjoyment of our stay. If we come back, we will definitely book to stay here again and we will definitely be recommending this place to our friends and families. Thank you Mike!!
