I am a kind and friendly person ready to contribute to make your stay in Rome a perfect holiday.

Giovanni Ramazzotti purchased this apartment in 2013

The Trastevere district easily captures the traveler's heart and is one of the best area of the city where to stay. You will be accommodated in a very quiet and comfortable apartment and yet be able to enjoy the Trastevere nightlife with the many local bars and restaurants available nearby.

The apartment is very comfortable and in a very good location. I have traveled myself and I know what are guest expectations for a perfect holiday.

GREAT APARTMENT IN ROME

  • 5 of 5
This apartment is located off the beaten path. The area of Trastevere is full of great restaurants and a very lively night life. This apartment is located .3 miles off a main road that has a tram. This tram can take you to the sights in Rome. You can purchase a pass for the tram at any tobacco shop. We purchased a 3 day pass. The apartment was perfect for my family of four. This apartment is spotless and the owner Giovanni and his wife are exceptional people. They waited for our arrival with a bottle of wine. They also arranged for our taxi service upon our departure. They have maps and books and great restaurant recommendations. The restaurants are family owned and are very reasonably priced. There is a great piazza called Santa Maria. You can walk towards this piazza and have lunch, dinner or gelatto along with the locals. There is a very old church, basilica di Santa Maria and it is said to be the oldest church to be dedicated to the Virgin Mary, in Rome. Church was started around AD 337.
We arrived to a kitchen with coffee, sugar, tea, olive oil, balsamic vinegar and spices. We used the washer daily which was very convenient as we had been traveling for a week. During the summer, there is entertainment along the Tiber river. There are restaurants, vendors and live music.
We really enjoyed our stay in Rome. This apartment was the spacious, quiet, and in a wonderful neighborhood. Thank you again Giovanni for sharing your lovely apartment with our family.

What a beautiful apartment! I loved staying at this lovely place for a week. Everything is very clean and well thought out. The appliances are all brand new, the bed is comfortable, the wifi and A/C work perfectly. Recommend it without a hesitation and hope to stay here again!

OUR TRAVESTERE ROME HOME

  • 5 of 5
Really great property!! Giovanni not only provided a wonderful place to stay but also great tips on public transportation, grocery shopping & sights.

Trastevere was strategic for our family of 4 (teenage children) because it was near the train station on the southwest side -- closest to Fiumicino Airport (30 minutes by train) & Cruise Ship Port (60 minutes by train). We liked this property due to the layout (2 private bedrooms -- 1 with king bed and the other with 2 twins). Not only was there a washing machine, laundry detergent & drying rack but it was also stocked with olive oil, pepper, salt, coffee, cappucino, etc.. Giovanni even welcomed us with a bottle of wine!

If you want to stay / live like the locals Trastevere is the way to go. This was such a safe neighborhood and short tram/bus/metro ride to all the great Rome sites.

I would seek this property if going to Rome again.

WOW, NICE APARTMENT

  • 5 of 5
We stayed in four different apartments on this trip and this was the nicest. Warm showers, wifi, nice kitchen, clean kitchen, new washing machine, what else could we ask for? Giovanni was so pleasant to deal with and helped arrange a taxi at the end of our stay. I will stay here again if I return to Rome.

FIVE STARS FOR THE APARTMENT, THE LOCATION AND THE OWNER!

  • 5 of 5
Recently back from 3 delightful weeks at La Scalea di Trastavere apartment run by the hospitable and attentive Giovanni. Every aspect of our stay was top notch. Giovanni was extremely communicative, responding promptly to email and answering every question thoughtfully. On our arrival he greeted us at the apartment and went over the nuts and bolts. He remained responsive to any questions throughout our stay. The apartment was spotless, linens crisp, beds comfortable. The space is bright and sunny with high ceilings and enormous windows with pleasant views, all serving to make the apartment feel expansive. The apartment is well designed with many custom pieces of furniture and lovely original artwork by Giovanni’s father and grandmother. We also appreciated the touches such as keys for each of us and tourist information. The kitchen is small but very functional – we prepared a tasty multi-course Easter dinner!
The location is terrific, just off the beaten tourist track so you are living among Romans not tourists, but convenient to both shopping and the major sights. Within a five minute is the sweet and very local Piazza di S. Cosimato with a playground buzzing with neighborhood children and an open area where green grocers set up under awnings every morning. Just off the piazza is a dizzying selection of small markets where the neighborhood families shop as well as a large chain grocery. Just a few minutes further is the larger lively and tourist-drawing Piazza di S. Maria in Trastevere with street vendors, musicians, people of all ages hanging out at the a fountain, a multitude of restaurants and a gorgeous old church with an exterior golden mosaic that is lit in the evening and incredibly beautiful.
Moving beyond the neighborhood, we found getting to Rome’s major sights quick and easy. The tram that runs to the heart of the city is just two blocks from the apartment; a ten minute ride takes you to Piazza Venezia and from there you can travel on foot to many of the top sightseeing highlights. In addition, many buses stop near the apartment. And we often simply walked to the day’s destinations knowing we’d enjoy whatever we saw along the way.
We were always grateful at the end of our busy days in the crowded and bustling parts of the city to retreat to our quiet neighborhood and comfortable apartment. After a little rest, we could head back out in the evening to “our” piazza for a bite to eat, an aperitif or a gelato.

HOME IN ROME!

  • 5 of 5
The apartment was large and airy and equipped with everything we needed. I appreciated the washing machine and large drying rack, and my husband appreciated the collection of maps that Giovanni had hung on the walls. The location was perfect - with buses and trams on every corner and the market at Piazza San Cosimato every morning. On our last day, we took the bus 3B to the Trastevere train station and the train from there to the airport. It was simple - even with all of our luggage.
