Wonderful home. Beautiful views. Very quiet. Great place for famy getaways but still close to beaches and attractions. Must have a car.
What a fabulous home! Seven of us stayed comfortably in the house. 2 Grand Parents, 2 Parents, 1 uncle 21 years old, and 2 grand children, 8 and 14. The house was supplied with everything you would ever need during your stay. The pool area and pool are really the highlights of this home. The evening sunsets are so beautiful! Our entire family enjoyed the pool. Our grandson was in the pool first thing in the morning and last thing before bed. We enjoyed a tour of the fruit grove and the fresh fruit daily. One of the highlights was the fireworks display we were treated to from pool side New years eve. i really can't say enough about our experience at this residence. I would highly recommend it!
It was wonderful!!
I have travelled extensively, and stayed in many wonderful places, but this was my first time in Kona. I must say I loved it! This house is a true gem, and the owner's were lovely people. The whole experience there was great. The house is very spacious and private with nice amenities and a awesome pool! The sunsets are so beautiful and romantic, the nearby beaches were great for boogie boarding and fun in the sun.
Our party had four adults and four children ages 7,4,2, and 2 mos. and we still had plenty of privacy and space. This property is truly a place everyone on a trip to Kona should strive to enjoy.
We all had such a wonderful stay, I can't wait to come back and do it again next year!
Rented both houses for the family. Had a fantastic time. Pools are toasty warm, kids were in them (as were the moms) every chance they got. The orchard down below is really awesome. It has bananas, oranges, tangerines, guava, papaya, avocado, and all kinds of other stuff. The kids really liked that also. The scenery is beautiful and it is nice to sit out at the end of the pool with a beer or glass of wine and watch the sun go down. Easy trip to town or Costco for shopping and the Honokohau harbor house is a fantastic place for lunch.
Have had both my daughters with friends come here as a graduation present and they had a fantastic time. Also had some friends get married here and they had nothing but good things to say also.
It's been a wonderful place for me, my family, and my friends and I highly recommend it.
We rented the house with the red roof and we loved to stay there.
It’s a very beautiful and comfortable place, which is well stocked and very clean. We found everything we needed to feel like home.
The manager, Debbie, was super nice and accommodating. In the fridge we found basics so we didn't have to run to the store once we arrived.
Before we rented this house we had a house near the ocean where it was too warm and we had a house in > 1000 ft, where it was sometimes too wet and too cold. This house is in about 750 ft and here we found the perfect climate. Not too warm and not too cold.
The house is extremely private, very quiet and peaceful. It's on a huge lot with a well maintained garden, where we harvested a lot of fresh fruits and vegetables. There are blooming plumeria trees and many flowers. We enjoy the mangoes, papayas, oranges, pomelos, bananas, macadamia nuts, star fruits, dragon fruits, avocados, squash, radish, tomatoes, breadfruit, salad and more very much .
The property is located in a very nice, safe and friendly neighborhood. It takes only a few minutes to get to beautiful beaches where we love to go for walks, swimming and snorkeling. Our favorite beach is at the Four Seasons Hualalai.
We love sitting out on the Lanai, watching the wild life in the garden, the ocean and the unforgettable sunsets. We also love swimming in the well heated saline pool.
There was only one thing, we didn't love - that we had to leave at the end of the rental time!
If we would have to give a name to that house we would call it "Paliuli" which means Garden of Eden.
I have been coming to Kona for many years. These homes are the only ones on my list for places to stay. Some of my favorite things about this property is getting to watch the sunset while enjoying quiet time next to your very own pool. There is a private orchard with just about every tropical fruit you could imagine right at your fingertips. I love having breakfast or dinner in the screened in Lanai. There are tropical plants all over the property that fill the air with the sweetest smells of paradise. It feels like a home away from home and you won't want to leave. I have stayed other places on the island and have never had anything compare to what this property has to offer. Every person you encounter - from booking the home to the gardener - are wonderful to talk to and very helpful. When you are staying there you don't feel like you have to leave to enjoy the island. There is a pool to swim in, flowers and plants to look at and an orchard to get fruit. It is peaceful because you are away from the hustle and bustle of town but only about a 15 minute drive away if you want to go. I would highly recommend these homes - and do! - to anyone thinking about staying in Hawaii. Love, love, love!!
A short drive from these homes are some of the island’s best beaches. The Natural Energy Lab beach, also known as the Wawaloli Beach Park, is located a short drive away. From this area you can walk the beach front and trails all the way to Honokohau Boat Harbor, a distance of about 7.5 miles. Along the way you will pass through the Pine Tree surfing area, the island’s most popular surfing beach. If you wish a shorter walk, you can directly access the surf beach from the paved public road into the Kohanaiki Subdivision. South of this area is the Koloko-Honokohau National Park, which includes an ancient Hawaiian fish pond used by royalty. Direct access into the pond is available on Ala Nui Kaloko Road. Continuing south along the trail brings you to a long sandy beach that continues all the way to the Boat Harbor. Maps to these beaches and access points are available upon request.
