Within walking distance are fine restaurants, 2 recreational parks and a seafood -wine store. The huge bay in back yard has a life of its own; boating, fishing from the docks, water skiing, jets skiing, water tubing, kayaking, bird watching, not to mention playful dolphins swimming by. Dine in fine restaurants within walking distance or be a chef at the condo. It is easy to experience precious moment of life here. We welcome you.

Why Owner/Manager chose Redington Shores

I purchased this property due to excitement of both bay and beach life. Beach is as magical as St Pete Beach but not as commercialized. It is only a 3 minute walk. Obviously bay is the back yard, tempting one to variety of water sports not to mention awesome water views.

OK Unit/Disappointment with Owner

I’m a travel professional of 30 years and am sharing experience working with this owner and my client’s experience. My recommendation to anyone looking to book this unit is to move forward cautiously and be sure to document everything. Unit was reserved for 2 families with 4 adults and 7 children. Issues with documentation of security deposit fees, cleaning fees and payment processing.

I informed my clients of some concerns due to past reviews and recommended they thoroughly inspect the unit before entering with their children so they would not be held accountable for any broken items. As instructed, clients called at 345p to check into their unit. No answer and mailbox full and no way to leave message. Clients went directly to unit at 4pm and located Laura who apparently is one of the owners. Laura informs clients that cleaning crew arrived late and need more time to finish cleaning. She requested that the guests return in 45minutes. Laura informs them each family will get a $50 refund. Clients return at 5pm to unit. Cleaning crew finishing but now the air conditioning is not working and they have called for an immediate repair. Since the unit is too warm for their families to stay they decide to leave for dinner. Laura promises another $50 per family for inconvenience. Clients return at 830p and air is working.

Clients returned home and share experience with me.

Pros:

*Good location

*Spacious and good value for the dollar

Cons:

*Pictures are little deceiving as this unit has a lot of wear and tear

*Broken doors, windows and furniture

*Towels and linens are clean but stained

*Shower curtains need to be replaced

*Not throughly cleaned - i.e. opened drawers to find crumbs, hair, etc.

A "go with the flow" person will be ok with this unit. If these issues will upset you even through the price is good best to go elsewhere.

Alice now refuses to refund 2nd $50 per family promised by Laura for the air conditioning issue. Alice refuses to speak or answer any emails from me and wants to talk to clients but does not answer their emails.

All correspondence with Alice was handled in a calm and professional manner. I do see a pattern here with this owner as to anyone who has something negative to say is criticized by this owner. Everyone who had a negative experience with this unit/owner can’t be wrong. It actually is kind of a shame as there is lots of potential with this unit.

Owner's Response: Travel agent requested commissions which I clearly declined before booking took place. Two families were booked. Upon departure they left me thank you card titled: I'm Very Greatful Thank You . Inside the thank you card, it said: "Your Kindness warms my heart. Bless you". Also each member of the family signed this card with the following comments:" Thank you so much! I had a lot of fun. Thank you so much, it was the best year ever. Thank you, I never wanted to leave. Thank you, the house was awesome! I really didn't want to leave. Thank you every day was great. Thanks for memories." Above comments describe this condo the way it really is. Owner

Comfort and relaxation key points for this beautiful home!

The owner/manager, Alice greeted us when we arrived with our keys and showed us our unit. This home is set up to maximize guests comfort! We had everything we might have needed, and then some! They have thought of everything, then provided it! The home was very clean. We had so much room for our party of 8! The view off the back deck is spectacular! We saw at least one dolphin every day we were there, not to mention the antics of all the water birds we were able to watch each day! We had dinner at the Sea Breeze resturant, which is next door, twice the week we were there. It was delicious!

Family Vacation

This was the perfect condo for my family of 12 ages of 21 to 67. We had plenty of room for everyone to enjoy doing whatever they wanted. Loved being so close to the Bay and a block from the ocean, the owner was on site and very helpful with suggestions places to eat and visit. Very beautiful sunrises and sunsets from the decks would recommend to friends.

Girls getaway

Larger than the pictures conveyed! Very nice and well maintained. Close to the beach (1 block), the bay is in your backyard, and several nice, inexpensive restaurants within walking distance. A couple miles from the Pinellas walking, biking trail- one of the nicest I have ever seen - 40 miles of paved trail! The owner was very accommodating and available. Definitely planning a return trip!

Stay somewhere else

Laura, one of the owners, offered me $300 to remove my first, diplomatic review, so I wonder how many others have been removed from this site? The pictures depicted do not show the filth and poor condition of the condo. The owner never told us that she lived downstairs and to come to her with any issue. We were waiting for hours while a "cleaning crew" completed their cleaning and the owner inspected the condo. We were allowed to enter at exactly 4pm. The floors were filthy, hair in drawers and drains, dirty silverware, cupboards, refrigerator, bathtub, etc. Nothing was clean by anyone's standards. The "Pool Table" is a child's toy which is broken. The frames for the beds upstairs, are broken in a closet, and really is a vacationer suppose to put them together, how absurd. Save your hard earned money, and stay somewhere else.

Owner's Response: On arrival date, Cristie calls around 10am requesting to check in. Bringing to her attention that we are solidly booked, with arrivals and departures on the same day, and that rental agreement and invoice has check in 4 pm or later. Cristie snaps at me and hangs up. Feb 20, 2015, Cristie posts a 4 Star review with arrival date Jan 31 2115. Then, Feb 22 2015, with same arrival date, Danielle posts a 4 Star review. Danielle writes: "Nice family vacation spot...condo is large and well equipped...back deck...plenty of space for everyone to sit together enjoying the view and weather....The price was great ....it was a steal! I'd spend a family vacation again". Both reviews expressed that condo was not properly cleaned. When I welcome guests, I request in their presence and on rental agreement, that they report problems with the property as soon as possible via telephone, email, or simply by seeing me as I live in one of the units in the same building. Outside on the grounds we have exchanged conversations and this was not brought to my attention. Feb 25 Cristie calls and asks for refund because condo was not cleaned properly. I declined and Cristie revised her original review to 1 Star horrible review. The building, condo being one of the units, is 20 years old. In the Condo, floors on 2nd floor, two toilets, kitchen sink, deck columns, deck railing are new and furniture and beds are 2 years old. As in the past I intend to continue to enhance the features of this condo. Cathedral ceilings, huge decks, loft, and the vacation spot make this Condo " a steal" as Danielle expressed in her review. We have luxurious new townhouses next door that we vacation rent. When townhouse and condo are available for the same dates, frequently, guests select condo rather than luxurious townhouse to book because of comfort and space condo offers. Also I have an extremely strong cleaning crew. Had I known that the condo is not properly cleaned I would have engaged them immediately. Owner

Family Vacation

Nice family vacation spot. Spent a week with 8 adults and 3 children. The condo is large and well equipped however it is a bit dated and needs a good cleaning.

Pros: spacious--enough room to spread out and not feel like we were in each others way, back deck had nice view and plenty of space for everyone to sit together enjoying the view and weather. Beach was within walking distance. Several restaurants in walking distance. Quick drive to grocery stores. The kitchen is well equipped and there is a grill which we used a couple times. Washer and dryer which means you can save on luggage costs by packing less!

Cons: The baseboards were dirty, the bathroom drawers were dirty, the bathtub in the front bedroom had hair in the drain, the refrigerator had some spills that had not been cleaned up. Not a big deal. I bought a bottle of bleach and did a little clean up. The upstairs loft was dusty and 3 of the beds were just a box spring and mattress on the floor. No dressers or closet racks up there. The master bedroom was the only one with a television in it. The dive bar across the street played loud music several nights and had loud karaoke one night--some of our group did enjoy having a bar across the street!

The price was great. Split between 4 couples it was a steal! I'd spend a family vacation here again.

Owner's Response: I doubt authenticity of this review as I don't know who Danielle is. I have an extremely reliable cleaning crew and vacation renters are requested to report problems as soon as possible. Guests know that I live in a condo in the the same building and that I am available 24/7. I should have been notified immediately of the things that were not cleaned properly, as cleanliness is of extreme importance to me. Condo has 2 TV's, one in living room, and one in master bedroom. Spacious loft has four full beds and the bed frames are in huge closet in the loft because families with younger children prefer to have the beds that way. Owner

Ideal vacation spot. Located 7miles North of St Pete Beach, and 7 miles South of Clearwater Beach. Magic of Beach is as magnificent as St Petersburg Beach but it's not commercialized. Awesome Boca Ciega Bay in the backyard buzzes with sports activities. Water views are memorable.
