Our two beautiful apartments are located on the first floor in a 1900 century Cracovian town house. Most our guests rent the apartments separately - they are completely self contained. Therefore if you are looking for just one apartment you can, of course, rent just one - Cracovia 1 can sleeps up to 7 people, Cracovia 2 up to 6 people .However , if you are looking for super spacious apartment ( sleeping up to 13 people) why not rent them both? Cracovia 1 and Cracovia 2 are devided by a common, private hall which is NOT a part of any of the apartments. When combined they will create one wonderfully specious and comfortable apartment. As our guests we have had groups of friends or 2 families travelling together. The apartments are full of light thanks to large, double glazed windows in every room. They are warm in winter thanks to the central heating and cool in summer thanks to old, thick walls that prevent the heat from outside get through. The location is perfect; walking distance to the Main Square, all the commodities also a short walk away. Peaceful, residential street. Renovated to a high standard with parquet flooring, high ceiling, a ceramic stove. Contemporary graphic art and a mix of classic pre-war and modern furniture and lighting, ensure comfort with plenty of local character and charm.
We took special care that all beds have a bed side lamp with light brights enough for reading - often it is a problem in rented accommodation. We hate it when it happens to us on our travel so we make sure our guests don't have this problem either!
Modern, fully equipped kitchens, central heating, satellite TV, DVD player, a cot or a high chair can be provided. Internet access , WiFi ( wireless up to 5 devices)
Good reasons to book our apartment:: Our apartment, which we visit regularly with our children, has a unique location: Old Town is the heart of Krakow, that's where you want to be and yet in our apartments you will be away from the noisy city centre. From here you can walk to all tourist attractions. The Main Square is a leisurely 10-15 min walk. Wawel Castle is a short tram ride away and the tram stop is round the corner from our street. Public transport is inexpensive in Poland.
We always try to ensure that you have a fantastic time in Krakow and we will always be happy to answer all your email enquiries - all you need to do is ask.
You will be met at the apartment by our very friendly representative (who speaks several languages). He will show you round the apartment and explain how things work and recommend restaurants or places to visit if you wish to. We will also send you our personal recommendation of places to eat and see in Krakow. If travel with children - we can recommend places that your children will find attractive.
If you wish to travel to Auschwitz or visit a World Heritage salt mines in Wieliczka - we can help you organize your trip, too.
I grew up in Krakow in an old, beautiful apartment. We rented it, like most Poles, from the state. Sadly my family was not able to buy the property after the communist regime collapsed. In the late 80's, having completed my studies at the Jagiellonian University in Krakow, I moved to London. Andrew, my husband, is an interior designer, I used to teach here and for some years I worked in BBC radio. We have 3 children now who take up most of my time. When they get a bit bigger I plan to get back to teaching.
We've always wanted to have a place of our own in Krakow , where we could stay while visiting my Polish family.
When I inherited some money from my grandparents - our dream came true. We love to come here and we do as often as we can. We are never bored here - there are things to do for adults and kids alike. My favourite pastime ( when the weather is good!) is sitting in a cafe on the Main Square, soaking up the sun while sipping a cuppucino. I also like going to concerts, exhibitions and new galleries that mushroom in Krakow every year. And that you can do in any weather!
Beata purchased this apartment in 2006
We decided to buy this particular apartment because of its very fantastic location. We wanted to have an apartment near the Market Square but not actually on it. It can be very noisy on the Market Square with all the tourists staying up until early hours.
Our street is very peaceful and yet only 10-15 ( max!) walk from the Market Square. There is a 24 hrs well stocked supermarket just round the corner. There are bakeries and cafes 2 min walk from the apartment. When we are tired after the whole day of activities and we don't fancy walking home - we hope on a tram. The tram stop is 2 min walk from the apartments.
Our apartments offer great comfort and space! They are our second homes and when we come here we often bring our friends. Therefore we have taken great care to make them feel cosy and welcoming.
They are at a perfect location - all our previous guests who have sent us feedback - loved the proximity to Karkow's main attractions and yet be away from the crowds when you want to.
The greatest attraction for bigger groups is the ability to combine both apatments into a single, super large apartment .
We can only endorse all the other 5 star reviews by agreeing that the apartment is excellent both internally and in terms of its location. The supermarket Kefirek in Karmelicka street, just round the corner from the apartment is fine for everyday needs. The bakery opposite sells excellent bread and rolls. Inside the apartment is spacious and warm. It’s just as described on the website and the booking through Beata and the meetings with Andrzej on arrival and departure went smoothly.
As for Krakow itself, it’s a gem of a small city. It offers wonderful opportunities for culture and eating and drinking. We particulary enjoyed thick hot chocolate and spicy apple pies at Nowa Prowincja on Ulica Bracka. The guided cycle tour from Cool Tours is an excellent way to get orientated and later in the holiday you can hire bikes only and head out of the city by cycling along the banks of the Vistula. Whether you go to Auschwitz or not the museums in Krakow dedicated to the Nazi occupation of Krakow are chilling but informative and there is a special price ticket if you decide to visit all three – the ex-Gestapo headquarters at Pomarska Street, Schindler’s factory ( a must-see) and the Eagle Pharmacy on the corner of Plac Bohaterow Getta. Finally check out the live music at the Harris Piano Bar and Alchemia. We’d go back to Krakow like a shot – so much we didn’t do – and would have no hesitation in returning to Beata's fabulous apartment
Our apartments are located in a quiet, residential street in the centre of Old Town in Krakow. On the way to the Market Square you will find an array of restaurants, cafes, bars and boutiques. You do not need a car in Krakow - you can get everywhere on foot or by tram. Market Square is about 10 min walk away from the apartment.
Wawel Castle and the famous Jewish Quarter - Kazimierz- are a short tram ride away. The tram stop is just round the corner on Karmelicka street. In Kazimierz you will be also spoilt for choice with all the sights, restaurants, bars and nightlife. Kazimierz is one of the favourite destinations for locals and visitors alike.
You can do all your food & drink shopping locally.
Just around the corner, there's a supermarket, called Kefirek, opened 24hrs; you can buy all the necessary ingredients for a meal at home if you don't feeling like going out.
If you plan to visit Aushwitz or go to see a famous salt mine in Wieliczka, we will be happy to help you organize your transport or advise you how to get there by yourself.
Ski: One of the most often visited places to go for skiing nearby Krakow is Zakopane. There is a good selection of ski slopes there for all levels of skiers.
Our biggest discovery was a ski slope 20 min away from Krakow called Podstolice, near Wieliczka. The slope is for beginners/ intermediate skiers. There is a ski hire and a restaurant just next to the slope.
