Climate is quite mild compared to eastern Montana, since we are in the Bitterroot Valley. The air is very dry so one does not really feel cold. There is a ski slope about 20 minutes ride. Cross country skiing is a popular sport in this region. Midsummer can be quite hot yet really never too hot. Nights are quite cool because things cool down after the heat of the mid-day sun. The weather is very unpredictable yet this is sort of fun to experience. Spring after April 15th through October 15 is ideal for most activities. Golf courses are available in the Hamilton area.
