Keauhou Punahele Condominium is located at Keauhou Bay area. This condominium is the very last condominium complex on Alii Drive. Alii Drive(means Kings road) starts at King Kamehameha Hotel, and most of the hotels and condos are located on this 7 mile stretch of Alii Drive . Keauhou Punahele is at the end of this prestigious street.
Welcome to unit # B102 of Keauhou Punahele Condominium! Renovation of this unit was finally completed on November 2012. You will wake up with a beautiful view of Hualalai Mountain on your right . The sun rises behind the mountain. Kona Country Club’s fairway #8 is in front of you. You will see the Sheraton Keauhou Bay Resort and Pacific Ocean beyond. You will see a spectacular sunset on your left from Lanai. Please see the photographs.
Keauhou Punahele is a smoke free complex. The building is a solid concrete construction. Smoking is prohibited on its grounds. Air conditioning is also prohibited. For cooling, this 2 bedroom 2 bathroom unit, B102 has 7 ceiling fans in addition to 2 more ceiling fans on the Lanai. This is a Cool unit because of the ground floor location.
From the assigned parking space, you will enter this ground floor unit by stairs. A tropical garden awaits you at the bottom of the stairs on your left. This area is always cool in temperature . Tradewinds blow through this garden into the guest bedroom, to the living room onto the Lanai to the Golf course. B102’s all interior doors are louvered doors to maximize this natural air flow. All screen doors are hand crafted specifically to fit each window and door at this Unit.
WiFi(with broadband access and Ethernet cable option) is complementary to our guests. An iPad/iPod docking station is in the Living Room. The Living Room has a large flat screen TV with a DVD player,a sofa(converts to a sofabed), and a love seat. The golf course/ocean view living room opens to the Lanai . Dining room is ready for a party of Six. There are 2 ceiling fans in Living room/Dining room.
Kitchen is completely equipped with dishes,pots and pans, flatware and glasses of all sorts. Rice Cooker, Blender, Food Processor, Coffee Maker and cappuccino/espresso maker by DeLonghi. Salad Spinner comes very handy as nearby Farmer’s Market sells freshest delicious salad greens on Saturday morning. There is a ceiling fan in the kitchen too.
Master Bedroom has a Cal king bed and a large flat screen TV with DVD player mounted on the wall.The décor of the two bedrooms is sleek and contemporary in line with the latest trend of major hotel interior. The sliding doors also open to the Lanai with the view of golf course and ocean. There is a ceiling fan in the room. You will enter the walk- in closet and a vanity area through the frosted glass door. There are 2 sinks and 2 mirrors here plus another ceiling fan above. You will find a hair dryer and curling iron in the vanity cabinet. A large bathtub with a rain shower and toilet area is separated by a pocket door.
Guest bedroom has two twin beds with a large wall mounted flat screen TV and ceder lined contemporary chest drawer . Plantation window shutters separate a room from the tropical garden. There is a ceiling fan in this room but seldom used because a cool breeze comes from the garden. Hand crafted screen windows and the plantation shutters give a privacy at night.
Guest bathroom has a contemporary sink in the oversized powder room. There is a ceiling fan here too. Hair dryer, curling iron and flat hair iron are all stored in a vanity cabinet. Pocket door separates this room from the very large walk- in shower area with a rain shower head. Three louvered sliding doors hide washer/dryer and a water heater.
Linen closet is located in a hallway between the guest room and master bedroom. There is a large supply of bed linens and towels(all in white color). Colorful beach towels are stored also for your convenience. There are Iron and Ironing board and 2 stand up electric fans with a remote control if should you need them.
The 30 feet long Lanai is the place to relax. There is an outdoor dining table with 4 chairs, a great BBQ grill, a bistro set for 2 and a lounge chair. Two outdoor ceiling fans are here too! There is a maximum of 4 guests only.

Deposit: A 3-night deposit is due within 1 week of making the reservation. Full payment is due 30-days prior to arrival for low season, and 60-days prior for high season.
Cancellation Policy: In case of cancellation after a deposit is received, the reservation is subject to a $100 cancel fee. Within 30 days of the time of arrival or after occupancy, no refunds will be given unless the property can be re-rented. During High Season, cancellations must be received 60 days in advance. No shows will receive no refund.
Our unit is professionally managed by a fantastic group! They have been in business for over 35 years and are available 24/7 to assist you with any problems that may arise. They can also assist you in finding airfare, car rentals and any activities you wish to do while on island.
There was plenty of room for six! The condo was nicely updated. Only drawback was the ceiling fan in the 2nd bedroom was broken. Since there is no aC allowed in the complex, it can get a little uncomfortable. Overall a very nice place with well kept grounds in a great location!
We stayed in this Condominium in early January, 2015 for 13 days. It was clean, well maintained, and modern. The kitchen, bathrooms, and facilities are updated and stylish. I absolutely LOVE the guest shower! We will be using it for ideas when we remodel our bathroom at home!
The condo complex is located along Ali'i Drive, a few miles south of Kailua. Although it is easy to get to using highways (you need to arrive from the highway initially in order to pick up the keys), we found that the slow drive along Ali'i was the most pleasant way to get to Kailua. It is easy to get to the highway, and the store is very close (although it is more expensive than other food stores in the Kailua area). You are just up the road from Da Poke Shack; the #1 rated restaurant worldwide on Yelp! (It's small and informal).
If you are a triathlete, be aware that getting to the main highway from this location involves a pretty short but steep climb. https://www.strava.com/segments/5757911. It's doable, but it may throw off your ride if you are used to the flat Kona Ironman course.
It is super easy to ride into town from this condo. If you don't want to drive in and would like to start the race carrying your gear, it's fairly short (5 miles?) and flat all the way to race start at the King Kamehameha hotel in downtown Kailua (where we stayed for the last 3 nights of our trip). If you are a casual rider, the road shoulders are generous at first, but get quite narrow the closer you get to Kailua and you may end up in traffic (which is usually not an issue, Ali'i is a slow-driving road).
The back patio of this condo is the hidden treat and one of our favorite amenities. There is a 4-person patio table that we used for eating breakfast and dinner, and you can watch the sun set to the west. There is lush, green grass and a pool just 90 seconds away down the path.
We walked down to the Sheraton hotel which is just down the hill for dinner one night. They have a manta ray exhibit (of sorts) and some beautiful cliffs where the waves sometimes crash, creating a romantic atmosphere. The hotel is overrun with feral cats (ewwww!), but they don't make their way up to the condo, which is separated by a golf course and further up the hill.
Overall, I would definitely recommend this location for any and all who are interested. After several hit and miss locations on O'ahu, it was refreshing to get a VRBO location that was almost completely without issue.
