In the evenings gather around the fire pit making s'mores or just conversing with one another. We first came to this area with friends staying at their vacation home. We immediately fell in love with the area, its beauty, small town feel and all it has to offer. Living in Florida we decided we wanted a place to relax and unwind and experience the change of seasons. We are so glad we chose this area.
Plenty of space to accommodate families. The wrap around deck provides space to enjoy the serene outdoors and that sweet mountain air. Seclusion at the top of the road eliminating any hustle bustle of traffic.
Guest stated "No issues, love the house. My wife wants to move in, and the kids love the rooms downstairs. Thanks again."
The cabin and scenery were so beautiful and my family had a very restful and relaxing weekend and got to reconnect with each other everything about the cabin was so clean and peaceful and cozy.
We really enjoyed this home! Plenty of room for 7 adults and having 3 full bathrooms is a plus! It allowed us to get ready for a family wedding without feeling stressed. Directions were easy as I was concerned at first and Robin was SO helpful! Everything that is mentioned in this posting is as described. If you go out the back door you can take a stroll up the mountain and the view from the wrap around porch was spectacular! It is tucked away but very close to the highway which makes it even more special. We definitely would return again!
great experience for our weekend. great location close to town, house has lots of space, and furnished with a great choice of furnishings. upstairs and downstairs can be completely separate for space if you choose. warm feeling inside house. we had a great weekend and we will come back again.
The word that popped out of our mouths when we entered the door was "WOW". We arrived after a long drive up and walked in the door to a beautiful and cozy retreat. Even my kids were amazed at how nice it was. The first floor with its air hockey and kitchen kept my kids entertained and well fed. They could stay there all day without my help! The second floor family room and kitchen was large enough for all 7 of us and even a few more! Kitchen had everything we needed and we all fought ever who would get the reclining part of the sofa. The view was fantastic and we were able to grill and sit out on the wrap around porch enjoying the great mountain air! Best part was the king size bed in the loft. A bed of plushness that made it really hard to wake up. We all had a marvelous stay in the cabin. Everything was very clean and tidy! Nicely decorated with mountain decor and the furnishings were perfect! The pictures are accurate but cannot display the wonderful feeling until you actually see it. Try the drive in movie located just down the mountain. The surrounding area was quiet and friendly with lots of things to explore. Must see the Goats on the Roof. We went white water rafting on the Chatooga, level 3. Great for families age 10 and up. We also went ziplining, highly recommend this! Had pizza at Zeplins and had Starbucks coffee and used the wifi at Ingles. Go drviing around and will be sure to find some interesting sites. We stumbled upon a field of sunflowers and a prairie dog guarding a bunch of llamas. If you like hiking try the Tallulah Gorge State Park. Something for all levels and very nicely staffed and maintained. All my family knows what a great time we had and I have recommended it to everyone wanting a great place to stay! We will definitely go again and this time stay longer than 4nights/5 days!
This is a little gem in one of the most beautiful places in Georgia. Everything in the house was exactly as the pictures and description depicted. We rented the cottage also as a place for my parents to stay which allowed us to accommodate our entire family. I can assure you that there are no leaks in this house because it rained nearly then entire time we were there. Despite the rain we had a blast and are planning on a return trip about the same time next year.
Close by state parks include Black Rock Mountain Park and Mocassion Creek Park (which has a fish hatchery).
