Barbados offers an opportunity to experience a Caribbean lifestyle influenced by its traditional British history. The first settlers arrived in1627, and the island still retains its British Parliamentary system. It has a reliable infrastructure, and offers the comforts and safety of most Western countries.
Since the island is roughly triangular in shape, the 3 coasts offer a totally different ambience. The east coast bordered by the Atlantic ocean, is wild, rugged, beautiful, isolated, and unsuitable for swimming in most areas. The south coast, has heavy surf, and is more industrial, commercial, and has numerous fast food outlets, and local markets. The west coast, known internationally as the Platinum Coast, borders the blue Caribbean Sea, which is normally calm and suitable for all varieties of water sports.
As Barbados lies outside the hurricane belt, usual weather is blue sunny skies and white puffy clouds, normal showers being of short duration. Average daily high 30C. Sea temperature's a constant 80F.

We first visited Barbados in 1975 - fell in love with the island and dreamed of one day spending the winter there! - Our dream came to pass eventually!
Dayle or George Rasmussen purchased this condo in 1989
This was a case of love at first sight - we had searched for a suitable condo without success - and one day we discovered #1 Palm Beach in Holetown., - just knew we would never find anything as perfect - so in one mad moment we purchased it!
We have never regretted it - still the most perfect place for us. Close to absolutely everything we need or want - restaurants, great supermarket, take outs, library, medical services, gas station, movie theatre, calm sea, snorkelling, access to fresh fish, - our little corner of paradise!
Absolutely everything we want - right within easy walking distance! - unbeatable!
Thank you for the welcome home. We had a great vacation and enjoyed the ease of having the beach access your home provides. The weather could have been better, but at the same time clouds kept the heat at bay some which was nice for a pregnant mom! We did get to see wildlife, monkeys at Welchman’s Gully along with plenty of snorkeling. The mongooses were funny little things and we caught one doing a balancing act on the blue foot bucket trying to get a drink one morning. We left 2 orange sand buckets and shovels under the stairs as it was one item our daughter desired and we thought you might want to keep on hand for any future visitors with kids. We enjoyed your home and appreciate your follow up. Thanks again.
We have stayed at Palm Beach Condos a few times now but were able to rent No.1 for my partner's 50th Birthday in November! As you can see this condo couldn't be any closer to the beach!! It was lovely to be able to sit on the balcony watching the sun set or just people watching. You don't come across many places like this to stay on the west coast. The condo is equipped with everything you could possibly need and more.
I had asked Pat (who lives there permanently) to arrange for a birthday cake to be made. Bless her, she did a great job for me even though the bakery charged a small fortune it was well worth it!! It's not just the location of these condos that makes it such a wonderful place to stay but the people too. Dayle & George (the owners) had thoughtfully sent a birthday card to my partner as did Pat. What a lovely touch!! We really do feel so at home here. There are some super restaurants close to the apartment or should you get the urge to cook, there is a great supermarket 5 minutes walk away.
Vita comes in to clean the apartment a few times a week and is always so welcoming.
Like many other people, we have come to love this place. The fact that people return year after year speaks for itself. I'm almost reluctant to write a review as I don't want too many people to know about it!!
Great value for money!! Can't wait to return!!
Prime spot on the island having breakfast with the monkeys and watching the hummingbirds in the garden whistle by.
The property was clean and there was enough cooking utensils to make for some good cooking.
It was just a 2 minute walk away from the supermarket which had everything that you would need including a pharmacy.
Would love to go back there again one day.
Having stayed at The Mango Bay Hotel (next door) we knew exactly where the apartment was. It's a fabulous location right on the beach but close to the bars and restaurants in 1st & 2nd Street. That said we never heard any noise from the bars - only the waves crashing on the beach!
The apartment is very well equipped and has a maid service provided every other day. You have the beauty of having cooking facilities and use of a fridge as well as some of the services of a hotel.
The pool area was well maintained and there were plenty of sun beds available.
We spent a great day at Mullins Beach as well as eating out at the beach side restaurant one night. The food was as always fabulous. We also splashed out for the Sunday brunch at the nearby Sandy Lane. Expensive but worth it for a treat! You just won't need to eat for the next few days!
Other restaurants worth a mention are Cariba and The Mews. Great meals and service in both.
There are so many great restaurants in and around Holetown you really are spoilt for choice which is why we opted to stay in an apartment rather than an expensive all inclusive hotel.
We also had a great trip swimming with the turtles - great fun!
A must is a visit to Lexy's piano bar too.
All in all Holetown is a great place and this apartment is in one of the beach locations to enjoy it!
Hope to return soon!!
We had an absolutely wonderful time in your home! Absolutely perfect...even the couple days of rain did not stop us. Did Earthworks, the wild animal refuge, swam endlessly, even in the rain. You are so fortunate to have such a beautiful winter option! We certainly will be back
Overall this property is as listed, very pleasant and smack bang on the beach, any closer and your feet would be wet. The views from the balcony are a delight and we spent every morning out on it having our breakfast and at night watched the sunset while having a few drinks. We even ventured to having a few evening meals out on the balcony as well - romantic and dreamy as we listened to the gentle sound of the waves breaking on the beach and the little frogs whistling away in the background.
The condo itself can easily sleep four and is well equiped with pleanty of the necessary. There are quite a few restaurants nearby that serve good food and transport is close at hand. The condo units have their own pool which is set in very nice gardens and is a pleasant alternative to bathing in the sea. All in all the condo is the best placed unit in the facility. The only minor annoyance during our stay was that of the staff at the nearby Mango Beach Hotel starting early in the morning with their chatter and the noise of cuttlery and plates being placed on the tables for breakfast but as said it was only a minor thing. The Mango Beach Hotel also has nightly music entertainment but it is quite pleasant background stuff which helped with the ambience while on the balcony having drinks and always finished early.
Overall I would have to say that this property is well situated and with one of the best views in Barbados - you cannot but enjoy your stay. Would I recommend it YES, would I go back YES.
This aprtment is in the perfect spot. It is located in Holetown so you step outside your door for great resteraunts, a nearby grocery store, beautiful shops and a Sunday night Kareoke Street Party. The local bus runs right by your door. The apartment itself is spacious and lovely. The owners stock your fridge so when you arrive you are ready for a cold beer on the fabulous balcony and you'll be able to make breakfast and see the view in daylight. But I must warn you, you won't want to leave the balcony. You are right on the beach and the view is glorious. The property is very clean and well maintained and the pool area lovely. The Property Manager is very helpful, willing to assist in any way, infoming you of the best highlights on the island. Don't miss visiting The Crane Resort, especially for brunch. The Cajun Canucks truly recommend this spot in Barbados. Lots to do and see but a perfect place to relax too. You can't go wrong!
