Ciao, my name is Cristina ! I am Roman by 7 generations, I like reading, traveling, cooking, shopping. From my passion for travel I decided to open this holiday house. I spent my whole childhood in this neighborhood, I made the high school a few meters from here. I am married and I have got two children.
I convinced my husband to buy this apartment, in 1997, because I think it is one of the best area of the city . Monteverde is close to beautiful parks, it is central and well connected with the major points of interest of Rome. We lived in this apartment for 10 years until the children grow up and we decided to moove into a bigger house. I'm a angiologis doctor and I have kept my studio in the same adress of the Da.Do House.
Cristina Belati purchased this apartment in 1997
We are located in the city center, in the popular neighborhood of apartment Monteverde, inhabited by journalists, artists and well-known Italian actors, near the most beautiful Roman parks and Trastevere district, perfectly located if you want to be in the heart of Rome, but would at the same time, staying in a quiet area.
The house is well divided, completely renovated with every comfort, the works were directed by my husband, a civil engineer. The flat consists in an entrance / hall, living room with bed sofa, two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a kitchen.
The apartment was great for our group. There were two bathrooms, nice furnishings, and our hosts were very nice and helpful and gave us many tips and insights of the surrounding area.
This is a very secure, safe apartment! Plenty of air conditioners and room through out the apartment. Short walk to trams for a short trip to the old city and vatican! It was perfect for us, we left our car 30 metres away in a parking station with good rates....
We were welcomed by owners, they explained and
walked us around apartment and area making us feel
very very welcome to there city. Beautiful people to deal with highly recommended.
Awesome! Apartment was everything seen on pictures.
Cristina and Francisco were very gracious hosts! Anything we needed was quickly attended too!
They were some of the nicest people we have ever met. We arrived late and they were both there to greet us! They provided a map and instructions on how to get to the places we wanted to go and took us on a quick tour of neighborhood. I would recommend this wonderful apartment to anyone wanting to visit Rome!
The owner was very helpful to us in our first visit ever to Rome, both before arrival with clear communication on how to get to the apartment and once arrived, providing great local information as well.
The property is in a residential area outside of the tourist areas making it quieter, but the #8 was literally right around the corner for easy access to the Trastevere and Piazza Venezia/Colossus areas. With Roma Pass transfer capabilities, all of Rome is very accessible. With the quiet evenings and easy access to the crowded/noisy tourist areas, I'd say this is a perfect location.
The apartment was very clean and very well appointed, with full sets of different glassware, coffee mugs, espresso cups, dining and snack plates. (Why am I mentioning this? Because of the 4 VRBO places we stayed at on this multi-city trip, this was the only place that had enough of everything!). Cooking materials? Knives spoons and forks? Great kitchen? Washing machine? Dish washer? Comfortable linens and soft towels? Dishwashing soap? Laundry detergent? Coffee and filters for the coffee maker? This place had it all!
The owners appear to regularly go out of their way to provide a comfortable experience for their guests--they sure did with us for our 4-night stay.
When we come back to Rome, this property is the first place we will look for availability.
We stayed at the Da.Do house with 5 adults and we all were very comfortable. This apartment was perfect and we had a very pleasant stay. Cristina and Francesco took very good care of us. Francesco gave us a tour of the apartment when we arrived and of the neighborhood and were told where to eat and not eat! That was very helpful. They left snacks for us until we made it to the grocery store which was right down the street and another around the corner. In all a great place, great location, great people and would stay here again in a heart beat!!
We tried vrbo for the first time this trip and it could not have been a better initial experience. Francesco met us at the apartment and gave us a very complete orientation to the apartment and the neighborhood. It is a nice, quiet neighborhood that is very close to a little grocery store, a couple of terrific gelaterias and a really nice pizza place. The tram stop is just about 200yds from the apartment and it is a straight shot to piazza Venezia. The apartment is clean, comfortable and cute. The owners are very thoughtful and took a lot of effort to make our stay enjoyable. They even left cookies and soda for us to use until we could get to a store. Lovely, warm and friendly people. Our kids loved this place and we did too. Strongly recommended and if we are ever back in Rome, this would be our place to stay.
