Wonderful A frame home with a beautiful setting overlooking the mountains and Lake Hauser. Steps away from fishing and boating of Lake Hauser. This home offers spectacular views for a family reunion or large gathering.
We had a great trip, the house was beautiful and perfect for us.
We would look forward to staying there again if we ever returned to the area.
Thanks for your help on putting this together for us!!
This spacious home adequately accommodated the various needs of our group. It was comfortable, relaxing, and had magnificent views. The manager was outstanding to work with and we would stay here again should the opportunity arise.
Beautiful views of the lake and mountains from inside and out on the deck. House was spacious and clean. Some of it is dated in style but in good condition.
We were 3 families, all with small children and total of 14 people.
Very convenient to Lakeside and town.
As previously stated there is a waterbed in the master but it's not a typical waterbed and was fine for us. Some of the other beds are foutons but with thick mattresses. I didn't feel that it reduced the overall quality of the place or our stay. I think if you plan on having that many people stay many will be kids and bed quality probably not as important.
Photos and description were 100% accurate.
Property manager really went above and beyond and offered many things to improve our stay- all we had to do was ask. Any small details or issues were resolved right away
Would have given 5 stars if it was new (and I've been lucky enough to stay in new VRBO properties) but as I stated previously it is in very good condition. We plan on staying there again next year.
This is an incredibly spacious home set on a hill overlooking Hauser Lake. It has some of the most incredible views of the mountains, lake, and Helena valley. You can't help but love the views from the living room, master, deck, and back porch. It is a very tranquil spot that is located about 15-20 minutes from Helena but just 5 minutes from the lake. A vehicle is definitely required for your stay.
The house is clean and airy, but is a little dated. It seemed as though the focus was on quantity of beds and maximizing the amount of guests instead of quality of furnishings. This isn't a big issue because the view makes up for it, however, the waterbed in the master bedroom was a huge disappointment. My parents were very uncomfortable sleeping in this bed. There are really only 2 main bedrooms for adults. The office/bedroom has a day bed with a trundle (remember those!), and the downstairs room is filled with inexpensive bunks and futons that are clearly meant for children. This house would be fantastic for families with a lot of kids, but the bedrooms are not ideal for multiple adults/couples (we had 6).
The kitchen, however, was fully stocked with high end cookware and pretty much everything you would need. We really liked that it was an open layout with the living room, which was perfect for entertaining. We held my brother's wedding rehearsal dinner there with 20 people and it was a perfect place for large groups to gather.
All in all, we had a lovely stay here. The biggest reason for me giving this house 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the master bedroom waterbed, and the lack of real beds in the bedrooms. Otherwise, the property manager was very helpful in answering my questions and was receptive to fixing a few minor maintenance issues. We were even given a military discount for our stay, which I appreciated very much. I would definitely recommend this to families looking for a nice getaway - especially those with children.
Thanks for opening your beautiful home up for our family to experience. The setting was truly breathtaking and the views are hard to put to words. Although we only had 5 in our group, I can see how it could hold up to 15 without much trouble. With the lake views and access to such wonderful fishing I can only hope others are able to take advantage of your superb home and location. I will recommend to all our friends that the next trip to Montana be based from your home. I will keep in mind the RV pad too that would be a great asset for some people. Thanks again for a great trip!
