Located on a quiet residential street with ample parking, this Old Town home is just steps from picturesque Mountain Avenue. Even though it’s an easy stroll to historic Old Town Square or City Park, you might want to catch the restored turn-of-the century trolley at the Mountain Avenue stop close by. Trolley not running that day? – take the two cruiser bikes provided to our guests (locks and helmets included) and spend the day enjoying one of America’s top bike-friendly cities. No need for a car for groceries – it’s an easy walk to the oldest family-owned food market in Fort Collins, featuring many locally produced foods and a farmers’ market every Wednesday during growing season.

This immaculate, upscale two-bedroom home is furnished with the crisp, clean lines of mid-century modern design that perfectly complements the original architectural details of the period. The polished wood floors show off the thoughtfully selected furnishings that combine to transport you to the days of martinis and mohair suits. The entire house is filled with natural light and has an open, airy feel. With wood floors, wool area rug, and plenty of seating, the living room is a comfortable place for conversation or watching a movie. This home is fully furnished; all you need to bring is a tooth brush! The dining area seats up to six and the kitchen is fully equipped for making everything from a cup of coffee to a family dinner. Both bedrooms have wood floors with high quality wool area rugs, queen beds with luxurious linens and cozy comforters, dressers and closets. Ample counter space and storage in the bathroom make things easy with a full house. There is a full tub/shower with glass doors, and soft, thick hand and bath towels. Also included are a washer and dryer, high-speed internet, cable TV with HBO, flat screen TV, DVD player, iPod player/radio, two bikes, backyard patio and gas grill.

We are professionals who have lived in the Old Town area for nearly 30 years. This is the house where we first met twenty years ago. When it came up for sale, we couldn’t help but acquire part of our own personal history. We live just two blocks away and are always available to give you a local perspective on all the Fort Collins area has to offer. We offer this beautiful mid-century gem as your home away from home during your stay.

Adorable house -- no detail overlooked!

There is no reason to stay in a generic hotel when you can stay in a lovely house like this. The condition of the house was completely pristine, and it could not have been more comfortable. From luxurious bath products and towels to cozy, comfortable beds, this house has it all. The owners have thought of every detail, and the house's original mid-century details are thoroughly charming and really quite amazing! I would LOVE to stay here again!

Wonderful house at great location!

We spent Christmas 2014 in a wonderful old house, visiting our daughter that goes to CSU. We had a great time, and even experienced a white Christmas! The house worked out very well for us. We were 4 persons, and even had our daugther sleep over a few nights. The house has a really cosy atmosphere, and is in great condition. The neighbourhood was nice and quiet, just what we wanted. We will be back any time!

Delighted to return to the charm of Old Town Fort Collins

This was our second stay in Leslie and Michael’s bungalow in Old Fort Collins. But we certainly hope that it won’t be our last! We were pleased (but not surprised) to find the place just as immaculate and perfectly cared for as it was on our first visit, which was last summer. Not only is the bathroom pristine, it has the most wonderful, huge, fluffy bath towels. AND there are plenty of them stocked on the shelf. I don’t like places that only allow you one bath towel per person, and a tiny one at that. In addition to the towels, the bathroom is stocked with BIG bottles (not tiny bottles that are impossible to use or get anything out of) of the best shampoo, conditioner, and body lotion. The beds in both rooms are extremely comfortable, and the linens are high quality – soft and smooth sheets. Not scritchy scratchy. There is a washer and dryer WITH all the laundry supplies in the cabinet. And a full size ironing board. Leslie and Michael have thought of everything. The kitchen has plenty of MATCHING glasses, dishes, and flatware. It is not just a mismatched hodge podge of kitchen gear. Everything is well organized and well thought out as far as placement and usage. Someone who likes to cook and knows their way around a kitchen put this place together, and it is a pleasure to prepare a meal here… especially if you have occasion to use the FRESH EGGS from Leslie’s backyard chickens. Those are not store bought factory farmed eggs in the fridge! Leslie and Michael also always leave a few cold beers in the fridge, too. There is a variety to try from the local Fort Collins’ breweries. I am not a huge beer drinker, but I have to say that my husband and I really enjoyed a cold one when we arrived this last time, and it is fun to sample the variety. Fort Collins is known for its many breweries (I understand the tours are great, and that is on my to do list for next time we are visiting). We were lucky enough to be in Fort Collins during the holiday season this time. Old Town is always charming, but the lights and the decorations were completely delightful. There is an outside table and chairs on the back patio and also on the front porch. The house is in a safe, quiet, peaceful neighborhood, and there is a grocery store within easy walking distance. The city park is also a short walk away, and is a nice place to take a stroll. The entire cottage is tastefully furnished with a feng shui that totally works. We'll be back, for sure!

Our stay in this rental was very comfortable. The decor was neat, the kitchen was complete with essentials and the bedrooms were cozy. The location made for easy access to City Park or a 30 minute walk to the center of Old Town Ft. Collins. We would recommend this to everyone.

This location is in an established, very quiet neighborhood and within easy walking distance (or even shorter bike ride) to many of the activities that led Money Magazine to name Fort Collins the best place to live in the country! Step out your door and head downtown on Mountain Avenue (take the trolley just for fun!) and enjoy Old Town Square, retail shops, microbreweries, Discovery Museum, art galleries, coffee houses, boutique restaurants, farmers market, Civic Center Park music venue, the historic Avery House, and more. Head the other way and find City Park, tennis courts, playgrounds, Sheldon Lake, City Park Pool, Beaver’s Market, and City Park Nine golf course. Also close by are Colorado State University, a working farm at Lee Martinez Park, and the Poudre River trail. The owners are long time locals that live in the neighborhood and are happy to give you ‘insider’ advice on how to get the most from your stay in Fort Collins.
