IMMACULATE MID-CENTURY GEM IN THE HEART OF OLD TOWN!

Fort Collins House Rental Photos and Description

2 Bedroom, 1 Bath Home In Old Town's Best Neighborhood

Located on a quiet residential street with ample parking, this Old Town home is just steps from picturesque Mountain Avenue. Even though it’s an easy stroll to historic Old Town Square or City Park, you might want to catch the restored turn-of-the century trolley at the Mountain Avenue stop close by. Trolley not running that day? – take the two cruiser bikes provided to our guests (locks and helmets included) and spend the day enjoying one of America’s top bike-friendly cities. No need for a car for groceries – it’s an easy walk to the oldest family-owned food market in Fort Collins, featuring many locally produced foods and a farmers’ market every Wednesday during growing season.

This immaculate, upscale two-bedroom home is furnished with the crisp, clean lines of mid-century modern design that perfectly complements the original architectural details of the period. The polished wood floors show off the thoughtfully selected furnishings that combine to transport you to the days of martinis and mohair suits. The entire house is filled with natural light and has an open, airy feel. With wood floors, wool area rug, and plenty of seating, the living room is a comfortable place for conversation or watching a movie. This home is fully furnished; all you need to bring is a tooth brush! The dining area seats up to six and the kitchen is fully equipped for making everything from a cup of coffee to a family dinner. Both bedrooms have wood floors with high quality wool area rugs, queen beds with luxurious linens and cozy comforters, dressers and closets. Ample counter space and storage in the bathroom make things easy with a full house. There is a full tub/shower with glass doors, and soft, thick hand and bath towels. Also included are a washer and dryer, high-speed internet, cable TV with HBO, flat screen TV, DVD player, iPod player/radio, two bikes, backyard patio and gas grill.

Suitability:
  • children welcome
  • pets not allowed
  • non smoking only

We are professionals who have lived in the Old Town area for nearly 30 years. This is the house where we first met twenty years ago. When it came up for sale, we couldn’t help but acquire part of our own personal history. We live just two blocks away and are always available to give you a local perspective on all the Fort Collins area has to offer. We offer this beautiful mid-century gem as your home away from home during your stay.

Michael and Leslie purchased this house in 2013

Although we currently live in a restored 100+ year old house, being design professionals, we have always been drawn to the crisp, clean esthetic of mid-century modern design. This home is in pristine condition, close to the best of everything Fort Collins has to offer, and is in the friendliest neighborhood in town - ours! Even if you stay just a few days, you'll know why we chose this area to put down roots.

We stayed for 2.5 weeks at this wonderful home. The house is very nicely decorated and provides a lot of space for a small family. When you stay at this home, it almost feels like staying at a hotel... Fresh eggs and beer are stored in the refrigerator. 2 bikes, towels, toilet paper, kitchen towels etc. are available. Next time we visit Fort Collins we would love to stay at this home again.

We were so excited to be able to spend Thanksgiving in Fort Collins with both our sons and daughter(s)-in-law...and at the end of each long and busy day, it was nice to be able to relax at "home". We were not disappointed...the location is great, it's an easy walk to town, it was exactly as described and as shown in the pictures - and there were fresh eggs and local beers in the fridge! Michael and Leslie were especially helpful and welcoming...we will definitely be back!

My husband and I were in town on a 3-day trip for business and pleasure and this little retreat was perfect for us. The house is extremely clean and so well maintained, that it exceeded my expectations. The house is also well appointed with necessary kitchen items making meal prep a joy, and the W&D was fabulous since we had an unexpected need to clean a garment. The bounty of super-soft bath towels and primo linens on the comfy beds were ripe for relaxation!!! The small, local market down located a short walk away is stocked with a nice selection of beer and wine (grin) as well as organic and local bakery items and fresh produce; this was definitely a plus. Aside from the house, the owners Michael and Leslie are wonderful. They were very generous with their time and even met us downtown at a coffee shop to educate us on Fort Collins living (which we really wanted to know!)
As I mentioned, we had several, separate business meetings and were in and out of the house for a few days. It has reliable internet and with several key rings, access was easy for both of us, which accommodate our business needs quite nicely. Street parking was plentiful and the location accommodates walking along Mountain Ave to Downtown or City Park.
We would definitely stay here again, and hope we get the opportunity to do so again soon. I would certainly recommend this to anyone who is looking for a well-appointed, immaculate, two-bedroom with local flavor.

From the first email communication to the wrap-up, this stay was first class all the way. Michael and Leslie are perfect hosts. One might think you are more at a B&B than renting a house for a week. The bungalow is charming and close to downtown. We were greeted with local beers in the fridge, fresh eggs from their chicken, coffee and creamer, and basic non-perishables to start cooking. You will not need a thing except to visit the FTC farmers markets for local treats, a bottle of wine to enjoy on the back patio and an itinerary to enjoy all that FTC has to offer. The beds were as comfortable as any high end hotel, the baths had large thick towels and lovely soap, hair products and lotion. The kitchen had first class kitchen tools if you are going to cook. Not just clean but pristine, Orderly and just beautiful. What more could you ask? This was our first time renting a house and it certainly set the standard of expectations for the future. If you have never rented a house, the bungalow is a super first opportunity to experience it. So glad it was available! Thank you Michael and Leslie for helping create a memorable FTC trip!

We had a very enjoyable stay at this house. My husband and I and our two girls stayed here and we had plenty of room. The owners are awesome! They were very quick to always get back to us with phone calls, emails and texts and kept us up to date with when payments were due. They made us feel welcome by providing fresh flowers on the table, fresh eggs in the refrigerator and coffee and some local beers.

The bathroom was nice and big and we loved the large, soft towels!!!!!

The neighborhood is very nice and quiet and we loved that we could walk just 6 blocks into town to eat and shop each day and walk to the local food market just around the corner for things we needed.

The house is recently updated so everything is in great shape and very clean!!!!!

We would definitely return for a stay here!
