IMMACULATE MID-CENTURY GEM IN THE HEART OF OLD TOWN!

Fort Collins House Rental Photos and Description

2 Bedroom, 1 Bath Home In Old Town's Best Neighborhood

Located on a quiet residential street with ample parking, this Old Town home is just steps from picturesque Mountain Avenue. Even though it’s an easy stroll to historic Old Town Square or City Park, you might want to catch the restored turn-of-the century trolley at the Mountain Avenue stop close by. Trolley not running that day? – take the two cruiser bikes provided to our guests (locks and helmets included) and spend the day enjoying one of America’s top bike-friendly cities. No need for a car for groceries – it’s an easy walk to the oldest family-owned food market in Fort Collins, featuring many locally produced foods and a farmers’ market every Wednesday during growing season.

This immaculate, upscale two-bedroom home is furnished with the crisp, clean lines of mid-century modern design that perfectly complements the original architectural details of the period. The polished wood floors show off the thoughtfully selected furnishings that combine to transport you to the days of martinis and mohair suits. The entire house is filled with natural light and has an open, airy feel. With wood floors, wool area rug, and plenty of seating, the living room is a comfortable place for conversation or watching a movie. This home is fully furnished; all you need to bring is a tooth brush! The dining area seats up to six and the kitchen is fully equipped for making everything from a cup of coffee to a family dinner. Both bedrooms have wood floors with high quality wool area rugs, queen beds with luxurious linens and cozy comforters, dressers and closets. Ample counter space and storage in the bathroom make things easy with a full house. There is a full tub/shower with glass doors, and soft, thick hand and bath towels. Also included are a washer and dryer, high-speed internet, cable TV with HBO, flat screen TV, DVD player, iPod player/radio, two bikes, backyard patio and gas grill.

Suitability:
  • children welcome
  • non smoking only
  • pets not allowed

We are professionals who have lived in the Old Town area for nearly 30 years. This is the house where we first met twenty years ago. When it came up for sale, we couldn’t help but acquire part of our own personal history. We live just two blocks away and are always available to give you a local perspective on all the Fort Collins area has to offer. We offer this beautiful mid-century gem as your home away from home during your stay.

Michael and Leslie purchased this house in 2013

Although we currently live in a restored 100+ year old house, being design professionals, we have always been drawn to the crisp, clean esthetic of mid-century modern design. This home is in pristine condition, close to the best of everything Fort Collins has to offer, and is in the friendliest neighborhood in town - ours! Even if you stay just a few days, you'll know why we chose this area to put down roots.

Better than Home!!

  • 5 of 5
I cant possibly say enough about this home. You should show a picture of the outside on your ad as its extremely cute on the outside as well. Immaculately kept - straight out of the 50's with current decor and furnishings. We were on the go so much, I wish we stayed longer so we could have enjoyed the house more. Location was perfect -rode bikes to the city pool, walked to Downtown Fort Collins (many times). Only 45 minute drive to Cheyenne where we went to Frontier Days. Owner Michael was a lifesaver - thank God they live close - my son locked BOTH house keys inside the house. I called Michael and he was there in an instant to let us in! Fresh ground coffee (Daz Bog-Svoboda Blend) in the cupboard was my favorite (fresh eggs and craft beer there too). If I go back to Fort Collins I will definitely stay in this Charming Home!

A Charming Cottage Hiding in the Heart of Old Town Fort Collins

  • 5 of 5
This gem is hiding in plain site on a small side street in the heart of Old Town Fort Collins, Colorado. This two bedroom cottage could not be more immaculate, with original features from the 1950s that look like they were installed yesterday! It is within easy walking distance of the most beautiful parts of Old Town, including a short two block stroll to Mountain Avenue and an easy meander to the charming Fort Collins' City Park. For reaching the sights, sounds, and eats of the historic downtown of Fort Collins, bicycles are provided (and this is an easy ride on neighborhood lanes with bike paths on nearly every street). There is a small grocery story only about a block away. The owners, Michael and Leslie, who live only a couple of blocks away, could not be friendlier, and they made our stay a delight. They even provided eggs from their own chickens in the refrigerator! They are long time residents of Old Town and can direct you to the best in eating, sight seeing, and shopping in the area. While we only stayed for a week, this would be a perfect residence for longer stays, as it is within a short distance of Colorado State and other major institutions, including Otter Box. Highest recommendation!

Simply Perfect

We had the pleasure of staying at this property over Memorial Day weekend with another couple. It is spacious, spotless, and charming. Plenty of room for two couples or a family of four. Located in a quiet neighborhood, we found ourselves starting and ending the day on the backyard patio. So much is within walking distance - Old Towne (very walkable, walked there every day); Beavers neighborhood grocery store; and City Park with a trail, pond, swimming pool and small golf course. Two bikes were provided and we had fun exploring the neighborhood and bike trails. To top it all off, fantastic owners who were quick to respond to any inquiries before the trip and were available to answer any questions we had during our stay. Michael had some craft beers and fresh eggs in the frig. when we arrived. So appreciative after a long day of travel delays. We are all wanting to return to Ft. Collins just so we can stay in this charming property again.

We stayed at this house with our daughter and young grandson while visiting our son in Ft. Collins. The location was perfect, just blocks away from City Park and downtown in a quiet neighborhood. The house was comfortable and well stocked. We enjoyed the outside patio for grilling and relaxation. The bikes were also appreciated. There were fresh eggs and local beers in the fridge on our arrival. Michel went out of his way to provide us with a highchair for our grandson. We hope to stay again on our next visit.

This location is in an established, very quiet neighborhood and within easy walking distance (or even shorter bike ride) to many of the activities that led Money Magazine to name Fort Collins the best place to live in the country! Step out your door and head downtown on Mountain Avenue (take the trolley just for fun!) and enjoy Old Town Square, retail shops, microbreweries, Discovery Museum, art galleries, coffee houses, boutique restaurants, farmers market, Civic Center Park music venue, the historic Avery House, and more. Head the other way and find City Park, tennis courts, playgrounds, Sheldon Lake, City Park Pool, Beaver’s Market, and City Park Nine golf course. Also close by are Colorado State University, a working farm at Lee Martinez Park, and the Poudre River trail. The owners are long time locals that live in the neighborhood and are happy to give you ‘insider’ advice on how to get the most from your stay in Fort Collins.
