We were looking for a beautiful home in a fairly secluded area with a beautiful view. John and Mimi's home was perfect. Their home was very comfortable, and we very much enjoyed our stay of nearly a week. They also have lots of amenities like pool, hot tub, etc. and are located just a few miles from a large selection of restaurants and other stores and activities. We highly recommend this home to everyone.
PlAce was immaculate! Owners were Soo helpful and soo kind. I held my rehearsal dinner there and it was perfect.
Definitely recommend this place to all.
Our family stayed at John and Mimi's house and used it as a base for a Washington, DC site seeing vacation. It is a bit of a ride from the city but we knew that going in. The house was great. They provided all the amenities we needed for our stay and more! The outdoor area, pool and hot tub were all beautiful and provided a place to relax and unwind after long days walking through museums. The kitchen was beautiful and well equipped. Would definitely stay again!
Words can not express the comfort of this home. We traveled from Texas to Middleburg for our daughters wedding. This place had all the comforts of home and the owners were great people. Would love to stay again sometime. The kitchen had high end appliances. And not a spec of dust anywhere. Living out of a suitcase is always difficult but we felt like we were home in there beautiful house. Our grandchildren enjoyed the beautiful pool. Our oldest son also had to find a way to the lake. He said it to was awesome. I'll have to take his word for that.
Home is perfectly maintained. All in order when we arrived. All as advertised. Pool and downstairs great fun for group.
It is rare that you get more than you expect when renting a property but that is exactly what happened with our extended family using this property as our base of operations for our visit to D.C. and Northern Virginia. Swimming Pool, Hot-tub, pool room, recreation room, outside BBQ, deck overlooking the river, a kitchen well equipped and a home beautifully decorated and quite obviously well maintained. The owners were very helpful and the home was very adequate, more than adequate, for our needs. We were able to travel daily to D.C. and as far south as Jamestown and Colonial Williamsburg while using this property as our base of operations. Northern Virginia has more to offer than we could possibly schedule during our week long stay. This property was described very accurately on the web site. We feel it was fairly priced for a week stay. This property is definitely on our list for a return visit and we would highly recommend it to our friends. If you want to see Northern Virginia and feel like you are living at home, this is a 'don't miss property'.
Our home is only minutes away from all major highways (I-95 and I-66) close to DC (22 miles by auto and only minutes by train via the Virginia Railway Express (VRE) and METRO via the Alexandria station; 3 mile drive from the residence to Historic Old Towne Manassas, the Manassas Museum, and 10 miles from Historic Manassas (Bull Run) Battlefield; other major historic battlefields are located within 1-2 hours drive; theme parks are 1-2 hours drive; the surrounding area of Manassas abounds in sightseeing and national historic significance.
