About Roxanne McCaffrey

Our family has been renting in the Berkshires for years. We recently decided to buy a home both to use and to share. Seeing the potential in this charming home in desperate need of TLC, we brought it back to life. Who couldn't love its charm, central location and easy access to Lee, with its modern conveniences yet small town feel. We hope you will enjoy it as much as we do.

Roxanne McCaffrey purchased this house in 2012

Why Roxanne McCaffrey chose Lee

We love Lee! With its great restaurants, country stores and antiques, it is central to all in the Berkshires, with less traffic and tourists compared to some of the more popular Berkshire spots. From our home, you can walk into town for breakfast, lunch, dinner, drinks, ice cream and shopping. Walk in another direction and you will find golf and tennis. Or drive just about anywhere else in minutes!

Exquisite Gem

  • 5 of 5
My family and I just returned from an amazing 4 night stay at this home. Great place to relax and rejuvenate. The house is just lovely - beautifully renovated, clean, comfortable, cozy. We just loved the decor, beautiful antiques throughout. The beds were so comfortable and the kitchen was stocked with great appliances and cooking tools. The house is also conveniently located, walking distance to town and a short drive to Butternut in Great Barrington. We are already looking to go back!

Winter Getaway

  • 5 of 5
My husband and I had the opportunity to spend a long weekend in this beautiful Lee house. As one who takes a lot of pride in her own home, I was truly impressed. The Lee house was so cozy and well maintained. I loved all the well thought out antique and vintage touches throughout. The beds were comfortable and the bedrooms a nice size. The bathrooms were bright and clean and pretty. I loved that the entry had room for all of our winter gear and skis. We were traveling with friends. We never felt cramped and on top of each other and the kids had plenty of room to play. The While Lee house is close to plenty of attractions such as quaint shops, the Norman Rockwell museum and Ski Butternut it is not on a busy road which we loved. My husband and I are looking forward to spending another long weekend in the house.

Fun winter weekend getaway in the Berkshires

  • 4 of 5
We were in search of a fun weekend get away for two families w/ yound children and this home was perfect. Beautifully decorated and modernized, it has all of the amenities inside the home and minutes away from all of the necessary conveniences in town. The owners did a fantastic job updating the home while still maintaining the charm of 1850. The location is centrally located to all area attractions which reminded us why Massachusetts/New England is so awesome. Our excursions included window shopping in Stockbridge and Great Barrington, a fun afternoon of skiing at Butternut, tubing and a trip to the Norman Rockwell Museum. The locals were really nice. The only sad part is that we had to leave. We look forward to staying there again.

Spend time in a renovated home in Lee, MA

  • 5 of 5
We had a delightful time in this newly renovated home. It is close to museums, music and theater venues, hiking, shopping and good restaurants. The bedroom set up was perfect for a group of friends. It is also close to town and grocery stores if you wish to cook for yourself. The kitchen is well supplied to do this. This home is a perfect place to stay in any season and enjoy all the Berkshires have to offer.

Modern Updates with a Cozy Farmhouse Feel

  • 5 of 5
This house has it all at such an affordable price!! It offers a central location, modern amenities, and all the right touches. You can walk to downtown Lee where there are great stores and restaurants. Stockbridge, Lenox & Great Barrington are also a stone's throw away. This house provides an open lay out including the kitchen, living room and dining room which makes this house perfect for vacationing with family and friends. When we arrived, the house was spotless and offered everything we needed from chip clips to down comforters. We had such a great time catching up with good friends in this comfortable house. I highly recommend this rental to anyone!

Love This House & Town of Lee

Love This House & Town of Lee
  • 5 of 5
My family and I have been coming to the Bershires for years both for the beauty of the region and the activities it affords. I have been to 275 Prospect several times since it opened. This house is comfortable, well appointed and the living room with three sofas is the perfect gatering spot whether for appetizers, a sing-along or quiet conversation. Due to the lay-out persons working in the kitchen are not excluded. Persons choosing to watch TV or have a quiet spot can locate in the den. The property is very clean and well maintained.

This house combines a very private backyard with the convenience of being able to walk downtown to pick up milk or an ice cream cone while being centrally located for the cultural and sporting venues of the region.

The two areas which I would qualify for a rental would be tourists without a car and persons with disabilities. Regarding the first, you are stuck out somewhere and it is an easy walk to town but to get to all the Berkshire area offers you would need a car. As to the disability issue, if it is a mobility disability requiring the use of a wheelchair it would not be appropriate but if some can manage the four or five stairs to get into the house and the two stairs between the downstairs bedroom and bathroom to the living room, dining room, kitchen and den it would be appropriate.
