We live in Kernersville, NC and were introduced to Wachesaw Plantation by our friends that moved there. We quickly decided that this was the place we would like to eventually retire (hopefully soon!). Things that really stood out to us include the beautiful and historic live oak trees scattered throughout, beautiful homes and landscaping, golf/tennis/pool activities, and the 24 hour security offered on the plantation. We bought a home on the plantation in January 2012 and go back and forth from NC to SC as our jobs will allow us. We love it there so much, we bought this cottage in December 2012, renovated it and decided to share the beauty of this plantation with others.
Murrells Inlet is a well kept secret in that it is close to the 'hub-bub' of Myrtle Beach but far enough away that it provides a quiet retreat with easy access to fantastic restaurants and the various beaches located nearby. This property within Wachesaw Plantation appealed to us due to its proximity to the beautiful Kimbels Restaurant, as well as the pool, hot tub, cabana bar, and golf clubhouse. It is situated at the picturesque end of the 18th hole of our spectacular golf course where it meets up with the Waccamaw River. We immediately decided it needed updating and got right to work with new flooring throughout, new paint, decor and kitchen appliances. We created a place where we, and our friends and family would want to stay.
