***Best complex on the beach!!! 4 reasons why***:

(1) We are the closest complex to the beach: they say they're beachside-- we really are!! All other complexes on Crescent Beach (but one) have long (sometimes over a hundred steps), hard, wooden boardwalks from the beach to the units. Not here! We are a couple of steps off the pool deck to sand! Don’t worry about bringing shoes and worrying about slivers, easily run back and forth from your unit to the beach, and enjoy close uninhibited views of the beach!

(2) We are a small complex: don't fight for beach space, the courts, or the pool! Some units have hundreds of units for rent! We are already a small complex and only about half our units are available to rent (the rest are people’s personal vacation properties).

(3) Best views on the beach: our complex is shaped like a U so that each unit has a great view of the beach without anyone blocking them! Combine this with the fact that we don’t have long tall dunes separating us from the beach-- and you have the perfect combination for the best views available!

(4) Pool at the center of our complex: our pool is at the center of that U right on the ocean, so when you're laying out on the pool deck, you feel just like you're on the ocean! If you don’t want to get sandy, take a book out to the pool deck and feel like you’re lying out on the ocean!

***Perfect Island Location***

Escape to Crescent Beach on Anastasia Island surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean on one side (where this unit is) and the Intracoastal Waterway on the other side. Soak up breathtaking views of the ocean from the living room, personal balcony, and master bedroom. Enjoy views of the Intracoastal from the second bedroom and public deck. Enjoy fishing, canoeing, kayaking, and dolphin watching from the intracoastal. Enjoy shelling, surfing, snorkeling, kite surfing, parasailing, deep sea fishing, and dolphin watching from the ocean. Crescent Beach is what the locals say “Old Florida” was like-- with uncrowded beaches, soft sand, and serene breathtaking beach. If you’re looking for crowds, Crescent Beach is not for you. If you’re looking to hopefully find a moment alone with the gulls and the sunrise, you’re in the right spot.

Plus drive 15 minutes to discover the historic part of St. Augustine, the oldest city in the world, and one of National Geographic’s top ten places to visit in 2013! From history, to shopping, museum going, and ghost tours, to wining and dining at one of over 365 restaurants, there is more in this place of ambiance and charm than you could possible do in a decade’s worth of vacations!

Within 30 minutes you have multiple golf courses (including the World Golf Hall of Fame/World Golf Village), movie theaters, two outlet malls, lush state parks, and all types of adventure/recreational opportunities. Unique opportunities to St. Augustine are to climb the St. Augustine lighthouse, zip line over alligator enclosures at the Alligator Farm, swim with dolphins at Marineland, and hear the cannons fire at the oldest fort in America. Whatever you want-- you will find it here and you will find you won’t be able to get enough in just one trip! (feel free to email and ask for a guide of area activities or restaurant suggestions).

About Marisa Dye

My name is Marisa and I am a boutique-type manager that specializes in managing a small handful of units in the two best complexes on Crescent Beach (the only two right on the beach— just six steps off the pool deck to sand, as opposed to all others that have long hard wooden boardwalks and stretches of dunes separating you from the sand and the sea). While I’m different from working with an owner (this is what I do for a living so I am fast to answer emails, always available by phone/text, and treat this as a business) I am a lot like an owner as well, in that I have been staying in this complex and on this beach for over 17 years myself (my parents own there)!

I have stayed in most of the units I manage and know the complex, beach, and area as well as I know my hometown. Renting with me means you won’t mess with big companies who have never set foot in our complex, much less your unit. It means that if there are problems, you have 24 hour access to me to help you. It also means that I am here to help you plan your perfect vacation for your group or family.

With 17 years of experience, first coming as a teenager, and now bringing my four children, as well as coming with my retired parents who own there, I am very familiar with what the area has to offer for all ages and the best insider tips for restaurants, places to find sea shells, best places to shop, golf, etc. I would love not only to rent to you, but to help you plan your perfect vacation as well!

See what this guest had to say about their experience with me, “And Marisa…if this isn’t her calling, then I don’t know what is. She could NOT have been more helpful and went above and beyond to answer any questions and offer extra information about the condo and the area.” For more testimonials go to www.stayatcrescentbeach.com.

Why Marisa Dye chose Crescent Beach

Crescent Beach on Anastasia Island is like a secret we hesitate to share, and yet can't keep to ourselves. The beaches are not very busy, and can sometimes even be vacant (where else does that happen?)! The locals still describe that as the way “old Florida used to be” with uncrowded beaches. It’s surrounded by entertainment and adventure and over 365 restaurants, and yet we are always content just breathing in all our condo and the ocean out the door has to offer! If you want crowds-- go to Daytona or St. Augustine beach, if you want quiet pristine beaches come here!

What makes this condo unique

The Crescent Sandpiper Condo is considered by many to be the best complex on the beach for a couple of different reasons:

(1) We are the closest complex to the beach, one of only two complexes that don't have a boardwalk to the beach, but rather just a few steps off the pool deck!

(2) We are a small complex so you don't fight for beach space, the courts, or the pool-- in fact more often than not I find myself alone at the beach for long periods of time and I have never shared the pool!

(3) The way our complex is shaped in a U makes it so you have a great view of the beach without anyone blocking you!

(4) Our pool is at the center of that U right on the ocean, so when you're laying out on the pool deck, you feel just like you're on the ocean!

Guestbook comments from the manager

We had a wonderful time! The boys loved the beach. We all loved the condo!! It was so cheerful and beachy! We enjoyed the Nights of Lights trolley ride, carriage ride, boat trip, and the restaurants were amazing! I would love to be added to the mailing list! My Grandson said that we have to go to the beach for all our vacations (they live in Port St. Lucie but rarely go to the beach which is not as nice as Crescent beach)! The beach toys and chairs were an added bonus. The kitchen was fully stocked and we definitely enjoyed the Keurig!

We travelled for spring break to this perfect Crescent Beach getaway! The view of and proximity to the ocean were as promised, close and convenient. It was so close that we were very comfortable with our older sons taking walks alone on the beach. The beach was clean and not crowded at all, even on the busiest of days. We were close enough to the action that we managed to have ice cream after dinner every night! Marisa was wonderfully helpful and gave us many great recommendations. As a result we managed to enjoy every meal eaten out! It is also close to many of the beautiful natural parks in the area and we ventured to the coquina beach in the Washington Oaks Park at least 5-6 times, at low and high tide, magnificent! The condo was very clean and well furnished, and the beds were comfortable. There is a washer and dryer in the complex, which is down the stairs at the office, but still convenient. Will stay again if we head back down to St.Augustine!

Ocean view condo

  • 5 of 5

The condo was exactly like it was described. Furnishing were adequate and the bed in the master bedroom gave us a great nights sleep. (The other bedroom was not used). Great view of the ocean where we walked for miles. The condo is not within walking distance to any venues so a car is needed. It was close enough to St. Augustine where we spent many days walking the streets and enjoying the shops and restaurants. It's not a place if you have teenage children as there not much to do except enjoying the beach. I would recommend this condo and surrounding area to the retired crowd or couples with small children who would enjoy the pool.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your great review. I was especially glad to hear that you had such a good night's sleep in this condo on the incredibly comfortable bed (in response to your emailed request-- I will email you the exact kind of mattress they bought). Walking for endless miles on the beach is one of my favorite things here. It's interesting that you brought up the complex for teenagers-- I started coming here when I was 15 years old and I used to complain that this wasn't a party type atmosphere with tons of teenagers and music and partying like some of the other complexes (now I couldn't be happier about that fact-- this complex doesn't even allow young adult groups without adults to rent--so you get a quieter peaceful feel)! However, I soon learned both with my family and when I brought friends that there is SO much for teens to do in surrounding area (in addition to enjoying the pools, courts, and beach at the complex) such as: zip lining over alligators, paragliding, fishing on the Intracoastal, deep fishing or fishing from the shores, renting mopeds to explore downtown, and enjoying endless recreational activities such as hiking, kayaking, biking, etc. Now that I have personally enjoyed this complex and surrounding area as a teenager, young adult, and now mother of four children ranging from 1-11, I have found that there is something for everyone here!!!!

Great unit, tired complex

  • 3 of 5

The unit looked exactly as the pictures and was very clean and nicely updated. However, we were very disappointed in the overall look and condition of the complex. Apparently an extensive external renovation (painting, pool repairs, beach access, railings) started last Fall and was to be completed by the end of December. It wasn't. Work continued sporadically throughout our entire stay (including a bucket truck parked in front of our balcony at times) and was not completed when we left a month later. The leasing agent, Marisa, was very responsive to our concerns and went out of her way to attempt to provide updates from the board on the project. But there really was not much anyone could do as we had the impression that either no owners were on site or no one was actively managing the project.

The location is great and if all of the work is completed the building will probably be much more attractive but they need some upgrades for sure.

Owner's Response: We are incredibly sorry for the delay in construction on the exterior of the building that impacted your stay, unfortunately these delays were completely out of our control. The good news is: construction and renovations are officially completed, it looks amazing, and won't need updates for years to come. Renovations include: new pavers in the pool area, new painting and refinishing throughout the complex, a brand new TREX deck grilling area with brand new Weber grills, etc. I appreciated your kindness and patience and am so glad you enjoyed the actual unit and the upgrade and renovations the owners have so meticulously done there. It was a pleasure working with you, and again I do apologize and hope that someday you can come back and enjoy this beautiful high-end unit now in the most recently renovated complex on Crescent Beach!!!!!

Amazing!

  • 5 of 5

What a beautiful place! This is a super comfy condo with everything you need. We enjoyed a quiet, relaxing stay on the beach but were still within a short drive to all of the excitement in town. I would definitely recommend this condo to anyone looking to have a wonderful time on vacation! We did a lot of shell searching, horse carriage tour in town (awesome!), shopping, toured the fort and lots of great eating! It was so nice to come home at night and relax in this gorgeous condo. Especially the automatic reclining couches!! And to be able to wake up to the beach every morning is definitely a favorite! We will be returning to this unit again!

Owner's Response: Thank you so much for the great review! You couldn't have said it better and you mimic what I hear ALL THE TIME from my guests: incredibly comfortable unit (the sofas and recliners are unbeatable) , quiet relaxing beach, close to everything in St. Augustine (a place many, like National Geographic and Coastal Living are saying is one of the best vacation spots to come to), and best of all the beach out your window to wake up to every morning. Can't wait to have you come back to enjoy it all again soon!

Owner's Response: We look forward to your return. One thing I have found about this area in 17 years of coming is that every time I come I find new things to do and new places to eat at. I sometimes feel like I haven't even scratched the surface of things to do! I'm glad everything was comfortable and your stay was wonderful-- and we hope you have many more years of discovering this magical area!

Great condo!

  • 5 of 5

My stay at the condo was wonderful! It is very comfortable and has a great layout with a beautiful view of the ocean. The beach is perfect - nice soft sand and lots of shells to find. The unit is close to lots of good restaurants, but not loud and noisy. It was very peaceful and relaxing. The book they keep in the unit for guest information and places to go is great. Loved every minute! Highly recommend it. Can't wait to go enjoy it again.

Owner's Response: Thank you so much for the kind review. I am so glad you got to experience some of the best parts about the beach in the backyard of this unit: the soft sand, the many seashells to discover and collect, and the quiet relaxing feel. Can't wait to have you back!
