Overview

Tahoma Chalet Rental Photos and Description

3 bedrooms 2.5 bathrooms walking distance to the lake

Enjoy your Lake Tahoe vacation in the comfort of this large family home! Our chalet was completed in January of 2013.

The home is approximately 1,800 square feet and is situated in the quiet, family-friendly neighborhood of Tahoma on Lake Tahoe’s west shore. It is within walking distance to the private homeowners’ beach (available to renters), pier, market, casual dining, park for children, and Chamber’s Landing. Also close by are Sugar Pine Point State Park, Meeks Bay, and Emerald Bay, which offer access to trails and the natural beauty of Lake Tahoe. In the winter, there is easy access to Homewood, Squaw Valley, and Alpine Meadows ski resorts. The casinos and entertainment of the South Shore are a scenic and short drive away.

The downstairs level of the home includes a large gathering room with a flat screen TV and gas fireplace. The dining area can comfortably seat eight to ten people. The kitchen features granite counters and stainless steel appliances including a dishwasher. It is well equipped with pots, pans, dinnerware, silverware, cups, and appliances (toaster, coffee maker, etc.) necessary for entertaining.

The upstairs level consists of a master bedroom, two additional bedrooms, bathroom, laundry room, and loft. It is an ideal set up for two families. The master bedroom has a king size bed, full bathroom, flat screen TV, and access to the front deck. The first of the additional bedrooms also has a king size bed and access to the back deck. The second bedroom has two full beds, a bunk bed, and access to the back deck. It is great for children. The loft has a wet bar with wine fridge and coffee maker. You can sit outside on one of the decks in the morning and enjoy a cup of coffee!

There is WIFI and hard wire Internet throughout the house. You are welcome to bring one dog with you for a small additional fee.

Warm, spacious and immaculate home. Perfect for two families!

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed the home very much. Super clean and tastefully decorated. Both master bedrooms were large and the king size beds were very welcome. The kids bedroom was perfect for 4 children. If the loft area had more furniture, a tv or a rug the kids would have hung out there more...so cute with the mini fridge and fireplace, but no place to lounge. Awesome laundry room.

The kitchen and dining area were fabulous! Everything you needed to cook and serve with lovely, spotless silverwear and dishwear. Plenty of room in the kitchen and at the large dining table.

The living room had cozy places for us all and good lighting for reading, games or puzzles.

I would recommend bringing or buying paper products. Halfway through our week we were out of toilet paper, paper towels and napkins.

Thank you for providing your wonderful home for us to enjoy!

Nice Spacious Home With A Great Location

  • 5 of 5

We came here for the MLK long weekend. We shared the cabin with another family so there were 10 people total (4 adults / 6 kids) and there was more than enough room for everyone! The house is extremely spacious and roomy. It looks like it was recently renovated so all the furniture and appliances are fairly new and updated. The house is also very clean, and the owners provide nice touches like a complimentary bottle of red and white wine and also soaps and shampoos in the bathroom so it seems like you're staying in a hotel. The location is great also. It is a quick 5 minute drive to Homewood, where we ended up taking our young kids for ski lessons. The lake is walking distance, so i'm sure this would also be a great place to stay during the summer. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for something in the Tahoma area. We would definitely consider coming back here.

A Wonderful Comfortable Home

  • 5 of 5

We shared the house with my brother-in-law, sister-in-law and daughter. We were there for my in-laws 60th wedding anniversary. Four of us love to cook and had the perfect kitchen to do it in! And with all the appliances we needed! The house is so comfortable and was immaculate. Thank you for the little touches: the wine, and wonderful little soaps and shampoos. The beds were so comfortable, a wonderful deck to sit out on and beautiful bathrooms made it the house for us. It was a wonderful trip - we plan to book the next time there is a family gathering.

Spent 2 Weeks in Paradise - Tahoma Chalet House

  • 5 of 5

3 generations of my family just spent 2 beautiful weeks in this home in Tahoma! We have been coming to Tahoma for over 25 years and as the family grows and/or changes we always come back to the West Shore - Tahoma. This is first year that we spent 2 full weeks and loved this home. Our daughter and son-in-law and their two babies, one just under 2 years, the other 3 months old had plenty of room and the home was equipped with all the necessities and then some. We cooked in almost all meals and although we brought most of our food, the PDQ Market was just a short walk away to fill in what we needed. By the way, the bottles of White and Red wines left for us was a very nice touch! We enjoyed the HOA lake dock as well as the playground a short hop, skip and a jump away. We had family staying in other homes off and on during our trip and this home was large enough to all have dinner together once or twice. We love the closeness of beaches (Chambers Landing and Meeks Bay) and even discovered a new place - Beacon Bar & Grill at Camp Richardson (by boat or car). Our all time favorite is River Ranch. Although we were not able to raft it this year due to the low water level....you still need to spend a couple hours on the patio there enjoying the beautiful scenery, eating BBQ and having a refreshing drink. There are many stairs in this house but not once did our 2 year old grandson fall on them and is now an EXPERT going up/down stairs (sometimes not evening holding on). The other plus is that "Nana and Papa" got lots of exercise on the stairs as well!! This house has a full laundry room which came in handy with the 2 weeks we were there. The weather was outstanding and the crowds had gone home already, very nice benefit. You will love this house for any type of family or friends gathering, spacious bedrooms and 2-1/2 baths. It does have a large open loft, although we didn't take too much advantage of it, possibly older kids and/or their parents might use it to "get away" from the other generation. Thank you for sharing your home.

THIS HOME IS BEAUTIFUL!! We stayed 3 nights and didn't want to leave. It felt like home, so comfortable and completely met our needs. The kitchen is a dream come true and the owners literally thought of everything. We will go again, great for summer or winter. Thank you for sharing your wonderful home with us.
