As well as the main F/House, its Annexe (Horseshoe Cottage), also new to the holiday rental market has been recently totally renovated & extended to a very high standard. Formerly a herdsmen dwelling it sits in the corner of the courtyard and has a cosy country feel. With 3 double bedrooms it sleeps 6 adults, with accommodation over 2 floors (combined with F/H it sleeps 20) The Kitchen/breakfast room is large & very light with a fully equipped modern kitchen combining traditional country comforts with modern 21st century luxuries. The breakfast end is furnished with a circular antique pine farmhouse table and comfortable chairs. This leads into a lovely sitting room with a log burner and a reading corner, with ample sofa's and chairs for everyone to sit down and relax. Tastefully furnished throughout with charming personal touches. A choice of private rear terraces with comfortable garden furniture & BBQ & ample, well lit parking for cars & panoramic views over the Peak District beyond

I wanted to let you know that we had a great time at Horseshoe Cottage and will gladly recommend it to other people. It's a great place, and very well equipped. Your personal touches were greatly appreciated, and the log fire was brilliant. The views are amazing, and it makes a great base for exploring the beautiful countryside around. Having internet was a bonus too.

For the seriously energetic (climbing, cycling, horseriding, sailing) or for the more passive soaking up the fantastic scenery, (Monsal Head, Dovedale, Castleton) and lots more too. A 'walkers paradise' with a network of trails and footpaths to enjoy (The Tissington Trail & High Peak Trail). The Minninglow Trail starts almost from your doorstep, just a short stroll across some of our own 70 acres of rolling Derbyshire Dales latticed with pretty stone walls. The spectacular Peak District has something for everyone. Alton Towers is only about 40 minutes away and nearby Carsington Water offers sailing, windsurfing, canoeing and other water sports as well as mountain biking.
