The newly remodeled “Take Me Away” was created for couples and small families seeking an experience of a lifetime with all the high end amenities you would expect including new oak hardwood floors, rustic log furniture, large capacity washer and dryer (for those longer stays), an Aspen King canopy in master and log queen bed in second bedroom, a fully stocked upgraded kitchen and stone fireplace.

The open floor plan, cathedral ceiling and large windows allow beautiful views of the Smoky Mountains, including Ski Mountain (West view) and Mt. Leconte (East view).

The spacious master suite is a couples dream. Lay back and relax in the Aspen King canopy, enjoy a peaceful night’s rest on the new pillow top memory mattress. A flat screen TV allows you to watch your favorite movie or show without leaving your bed. Wake up to gorgeous outdoor views all from your king canopy! The master suite has a full bathroom featuring an amazing Eco-Rain shower head and wall mounted hairdryer.

Sit back, grill and relax in our private picnic area! 'Take Me Away' has a brand new private “Grill Garden” made especially for our guests. As you exit the cabin, follow the lighted walk way to the garden grill area located behind the cabin. This secluded area is perfect for an afternoon BBQ, relax in the hammock or kick back in the “sit and sip” area. Garden amenities include 2 picnic tables (seating for 8), handmade log swing, oversize 'couples' hammock, multiple sitting areas and evening LED lights.

About Mike & Angela Weems

Prior professionals in the 'career world' (RN and professional photographer) we decided to step off the corporate roller coaster in 2009 and plunge into real estate. 'Take Me Away' was our 2011 project and first vacation property. We took 18 months to find the 'perfect spot' and waited it out until this specific cabin was available. Yes, it was worth the wait!

'Take Me Away' has been a very popular cabin on a rental program with a larger company since June 2011. Now we are ready to 'owner manage' this beautiful property ourselves, providing individualzed customer service to each guest, paying attention to every small detail.

Wonderful Getaway

We wanted a nice, clean, and quite getaway for our anniversary weekend and this was the perfect place. The cabin was perfect! We had everything that we could ask for and even more than we expected. The kitchen was stocked with absolutely everything, thinks that we would not have even thought to bring ourselves. We have recommended this cabin getaway to others and we will certainly return when we need time for just us.

Artistically decorated, cozy and relaxing. Tucked away from the busy attractions, but a very short drive to break the peaceful silence, should you choose to shake things up. My wife and I plan to continue to be guests every year... So get in line :-)

Girls Weekend!

Awesome girl's weekend at "Take Me Away". The cabin was gorgeous and had everything we needed and more! Beautiful, clean and absolutely loved the kitchen, which was full of extras (coffee filters, wine glasses, stoneware). The deck view is amazing!! Spent alot of time lounging in the hot tub with a glass of wine! The location is perfect. Just a very short drive to the restaurants and stores we love in Gburg. The owners were very sweet, even staying on the phone giving us directions (thank you!!) Would highly recommend this cabin, and we are already booking our next adveture!! Have Fun!!!
